Unfortunately, Scotty and Albert lost when Rico interferred and gave Scotty a superkick, allowing Billy to pin Scotty to retain the titles. After the match, Albert attacked Scotty and gave him a 'Baldobomb' and screamed that Scotty had lied to him and kept him down.

Marc Loyd. Marc Loyd, a new announcer, interviewed Vince as he was coming out of his office. Loyd asked him who he had chosen to be the number one contender and face Triple H at 'Backlash'. Vince announced that the number one contender was Hulk Hogan.

Diamond Dallas Page. Diamond Dallas Page faced off against Christian. This was a rematch for the two. Christian won when he gave DDP the 'Unprettier' and pinned him for the win.

Edge. As Angle was sitting backstage, feeling sorry for himself, Edge approached and said that it was a shame that their friendship had fallen by the wayside. Billy Kidman. Billy Kidman faced off against Tajiri, who was accompanied by Torrie Wilson, for the WWF Cruiserweight Championship. The WWF Lightheavyweight title that X-Pac held is now non-existant. Unfortunately, Tajiri lost the title to Kidman when Kidman rolled him up and pinned him for the win. After the match, Tajiri yelled at Torrie, who cost Tajiri the title, and broke up with her.

Who did Maven have a match against?

Hardcore Holly. Maven faced off against Hardcore Holly. Although Maven fought hard, he was no match for Hardcore. Holly won when he gave Maven the 'Alabama Slam' and pinned him for the win.

Who did The Rock have a match against?

Chris Jericho. The Rock faced off against Chris Jericho. The match started outside the ring, and ended when The Rock gave Jericho the 'Rockbottom' and pinned him for the win.
