She did not think the others could handle the burrito, but she knew Rory could. Kirk asked her if she brought home a Mars bar, "hair of the dog", but she hadn't. Instead, she directed him to the Pop-tarts. Hair of the dog is an Irish folk remedy for whatever ails you, and also an American Irish folk band. The term actually means to use whatever got you into the mess to get you out of it, so Kirk probably meant he was sick over eating a Mars bar, instead of the punch.

Kirk was sitting inside Luke's with a clear plastic bin, and he was retrieving all of the Luke versus Lorelai ribbons Taylor had passed out. It is revealed later that Lorelai's ribbons are coming in faster than Luke's, revealing that more people had chosen to support Lorelai during the break up. When Kirk's girlfriend Lulu refused to give back her pink ribbon, Kirk chased her down the street. He came back into the diner with Lulu's ribbon, still attached to her clothing.

We see the pair lying in Rory's little bed after making love. In the season four finale "Recipes and Raincoats", we only see them after they've dressed and rushed out to encounter Lorelai. Dean found this to be funny and Rory pointed out that it was a great song. It was happy, hopeful and had the word candy in it.

Luke told her that her keys were stuck, so she put a towel on the doorknob so they could go to the movies.

Taylor claimed that the duty was his, because he is the chairman of the Historical Preservation Society. It was either Luke or Taylor that said his first name aloud.

Logan and Rory attend dinner at the Huntzberger house the same evening that Honor and Josh announce their engagement. This is when Rory finds out that despite being a Gilmore, she is not Huntzberger material. They very fact that she's an ambitious person means she could not function as the wife of a Huntzberger man. This information works a number on Rory in the months to come, even allowing her to accept the information from Logan's dad that she isn't cut out for journalism.

Though old man Twickam had been on his deathbed for the last twenty years, he really did die this time. He died right after he saw Lorelai. So, when Taylor is asked for help with Twickam's request during the town meeting and Luke offered his, he thought Luke was just being mean. Luke never offered to help Taylor, which also peaked Lorelai's curiosity. So, Luke told her he that he felt guilty and then told Taylor the reason was because he wanted to make things up to Lorelai. Finally, at the end he admitted the real truth to Taylor. Luke wanted Twickam's house after the two months are up and Taylor can sell it to him. So, he sucked up to Taylor in order to have a chance at the house he believes is the perfect house for a family. This shows that Luke is definitely interested in marrying Lorelai.

Thus began an alarming trend of Rory doubting herself and no longer listening to her own inner gut instincts.

Michel's RV arrived earlier than he expected, and it ruined the first attempt at the inn's photo shoot. Lorelai snapped at Michel to get rid of the RV, so he tried to sell it off at the ridiculously low price of $20,000. Lorelai stepped in and prevented this from happening, since it is worth so much more, and apologized to Michel.

Don't worry, I'm going to do whatever it takes to get us out of this. I promise." Luke told her that with them dating, meeting the parents came with the territory.

Paris was more or less waiting for Doyle to call her and Rory had labeled her pathetic. So, Rory leaves to go to Stars Hollow and finds Paris already at her house! After she and Lorelai agree it is fine for Paris to stay, Kirk comes down the stairs and thanks Lorelai for allowing him to stay there. Kirk is still homeless after leaving home spontaneously.
