This is something that I have done often, slightly embarrassed to say. But I have found that it is a good way go be with just yourself. They move so slowly, that there is time for thoughts to enter your mind that you would probably put aside.

I would like others to try it,and let me know what experience they have doing this.

Now I don't mean just sit and watch it. I want you to get down and follow it and observe it for a while.

I am hoping that a few if you will really try this and let me know what you experience.

It would have to be a bug that doesn't scare me enough to make me jump on top on the table.

Follow a bug? I wonder what the neighbours would think if they saw me, nose to the ground, crawling around? Hmmmm - I should try it if it ever warms up enough for the bugs to appear!

Follow bugs! Why yes! Done it many times!
We've got one of the most beautiful forests about an hour away (Daniel Boone National Forest, for those of you geography majors) and that's one of the things we go down there to do. The place is magnificent. If you're ever in this part of the country, you should make sure you visit Red River Gorge. Especially in the fall!

Won't find me following a roach tho... those things give me the willies!

LOL! I´ve got flying ants up the wazoo...well, ok, not literally!
The rainy season has started and they´re everywhere now...damn them! And I have squashed quite a few already..sorry Sandal.

By the way, I already spend way too much quality time with myself, thank you very much, and I enjoy it plenty without the bugs.

Well sandal, I did it (again... you musta missed my earlier post) this weekend. Went down to the place I mentioned earlier and followed one. It was a millipede, and quite a spectacular one. I had to steer him in a different direction once, as he was headed for the camp fire. Quite an amazing sight, watching all those little legs working in unison. Too bad the rest of the world doesn't work that fluidly.

Val you are such a sweetheart! I am so happy that you followed that bug. Was there anything that you found out about yourself that you did not recognize before??

Thank you!!! Big Hugs!!

Oh... just that I am in too much of a damn hurry all the time. I guess it comes with my job tho... helping all those others hurry to their destinations. Eagle-eyeing traffic bottlenecks for the road-weary commuters rubs off on my daily behavior
(of course, by the time I head home, all the gridlock is gone and I get there lickedy-split.)
