  • The game of the week was between #14 Notre Dame and #17 Michigan and now the whole country knows the name Jeremy Gallon, who had a Junior Hemmingway performance from two years ago against the Fighting Irish with 8 catches for 184 yards including 3 touchdowns from Devin Gardner, who had 376 all-purpose yards and 5 touchdowns, and 14 more yards on 1 rush to take down Notre Dame 41-30 in what might be the last visit by the Irish to the Big House for a while. #11 Georgia bounced back from their loss to #4 Clemson by beating #6 South Carolina 41-30, led by Aaron Murray’s 4 touchdowns. Miami (FL) stymied #12 Florida’s offense and got a big win 21-16 mostly by winning the turnover battle 5 to 1. Lane Kiffin’s seat has never been hotter at #25 University of Southern California following their abysmal offensive performance in a 10-7 loss to Washington State. BYU embarrassed #15 Texas rushing for an incredible 550 yards on their way to a 40-21. #19 Northwestern put a hurting on Syracuse 48-27. The Fighting Illini of Illinois made a statement against Cincinnati crushing the Bearcats 45-17 after coming into the game as 10 point underdogs. Navy went into Indiana as 12 point underdogs and pulled off a 41-35 win. #2 Oregon wasn’t fazed by the cross country trip to Virginia and smothered the Cavaliers 59-10. #3 Ohio State didn’t skip a beat when starting quarterback Braxton Miller left the game with an injury as Kenny Guiton stepped in and led the Buckeyes to an easy 42-7 win over San Diego State. #16 Oklahoma slogged to a 16-7 win over West Virginia. Michigan State handled South Florida 21-7. New Mexico came back against the University of Texas at El Paso and won the game in overtime 42-35. Ball State beat Army 40-14, Arizona made short work of the University of Nevada Las Vegas 58-13, and Kentucky bounced back from last week’s loss with a 41-7 win over Miami (OH), as did Oregon State who beat Hawaii 33-14.

  • The stunning loss by USC prevented gtho from getting the trifecta of earning bonus points in all three categories but he did earn three bonus points for two underdog wins, Navy & Illinois, and the solo pick of BYU. Themonarch & BxBarracuda also earned the underdog points for Navy & Illinois, while dg_dave earned a bonus point for Illinois, and srini a bonus point for Navy.

  • Gtho used this week’s HoF, of 12 correct, and his bonus points to catapult into the season lead and Ozzz's spoon, of 5 correct, leaves him looking up at the rest of the tippers.

  • The underdog winners Miami (Fla.), Illinois, Navy, New Mexico, Brigham Young University & Washington State.

  • Due to the TCU at Texas Tech game being moved up to before the deadline and the cancellation of the Fresno State at Colorado game due to massive flooding the perfect pick bonus points were adjusted for this week. For tippers who got their tips in before the start of the TCU v Texas game the bonus point was earned for 12/15 or better and for the the tippers who missed the kickoff of the moved up game 11/14 was the mark to earn the bonus point since any picks they made for that first game couldn't count.

  • In a game that lived up to the major hype it received #1 Alabama avenged their last year loss to Johnny “Football” Manziel and #6 Texas A&M 49-42. After going down 14-0 Alabama ran off 35 straight points and held off the Aggies comeback with a touchdown with 2:28 to go, which gave the cushion that allowed for one more TD drive for Manziel before the game ended. Even in losing the myth of “Johnny Football” increased with highlight reel plays and over 550 all-purpose yards, 279 of those yards were on passes to Mike Evans, 3 of Manziel’s 5 passing TDs were hauled in by Malcome Kennedy, and on the other side A.J. McCarron had 4 TDs, over 300 yards passing, balanced by T.J. Yeldons 149 rushing yards. #2 Oregon got the job done against Tennessee 59-14. #4 Ohio State added to California’s woes 52-34. #7 Louisville took the instate battle versus Kentucky 27-13. #13 South Carolina beat Vanderbilt 35-25. #16 UCLA scored the last 38 points to defeat #23 Nebraska 41-21 leaving the fans with the feeling they have had enough of Head Coach Bo Pellini’s direction he has taken the team. #19 Washington continued their winning ways over Illinois 34-24. In one of the weirdest endings to a game Arizona State was given a gift to defeat #20 Wisconsin 32-30, when what was supposed to be a play to set up a last second spike to stop the clock to then be followed by a field goal to win the game turned into the last play of the game due to some confusion and poor refereeing. #21 Notre Dame narrowly got by Purdue 31-24. Texas Tech upset #24 TCU on Thursday night 20-10. #25 Ole Miss put Mack Brown on the very hot seat beating Texas 44-23. While neither team is going far this year Iowa can claim state superiority with a 27-21 win over Iowa State. Auburn scored with 10 seconds left to top Mississippi State 24-20 in their first SEC game of the season. Oregon State edged Utah in OT 51-48. Maryland got the victory Connecticut 32-21.

  • Perfect pick bonus points were earned by Sypher, for 13/15, Howie, for 12/15, and dg_dave for 11/14.

  • Sypher hit big with 13/15 for the HoF and ozzz2002 has started to corner the market on spoons with a 7/15. Our new season leader is dg_dave, 1 point ahead of gtho and Howie.

  • The underdog winners Texas Tech, UCLA, Ole Miss and Oregon State.

  • #22 Notre Dame won the defensive battle against Michigan State 17-13, as did Kansas also, barely beating Louisiana Tech. 13-10. In Tiger (Mike) on Tiger (Aubie) action #6 LSU controlled the game against Auburn and with some help from a bad call on a late onside kick held off any chance of a rally 35-21. #19 Florida lost starting quarterback Jeff Driskell but beat Tennessee by 2 touchdowns 31-17. Rutgers staged a huge 21 point comeback led by a ferocious defense and some big special team plays to top Arkansas 28-24. #5 Stanford got the job done against #23 Arizona State 42-28. Utah won the instate rivalry against the fellow top Mormon college football program BYU 20-13. 113 points were racked up during Pittsburgh’s win over Duke 58-55. Texas got a much needed win over Kansas State 31-21. Maryland embarrassed West Virginia 37-0. In a former big Conference USA battle Houston, which is now in the newly formed automatic BCS bid American Athletic Conference, which is the new incarnation of the Big East, topped Rice 31-26. #24 Wisconsin cruised against Purdue 41-10, setting up a major Big 10 match up at the Horseshoe this coming week. In ACC action Georgia Tech took care of North Carolina 28-20. Syracuse got a win over Tulane 52-17. Missouri continued Indiana's football woes 45-28 and Wake Forest got a win at West Point against Army 25-11.

  • Perfect pick bonus points went to Dizart, George95 and ozzz2002, and that last name is not a misprint.

  • George95, who moves into a tie for the season lead, and Dizart share the HoF with 14 correct while the spoon falls to wwe84 with 7.

  • The underdog winners were Houston and Utah.

  • #1 Alabama overwhelmed #21 Ole Miss and shut down their offense for a 25-0 win. #2 Oregon outmatched California 55-16. #4 Ohio State held off a tough #23 Wisconsin team 31-24. #5 Stanford brought Washington State back down to earth by taking them down 55-17. #9 Georgia and #6 LSU played the game of the weekend as they went toe to toe, TD for TD and the last team to score was the Bulldogs to take a hard fought 44-41 win. #10 Texas A&M was never in much danger on the road Arkansas getting the 45-33 win. #8 Florida State got a bit of a test from Boston College but won by 2 TDs 48-34. #11 Oklahoma State was shocked by West Virginia, who rebounded from their embarrassing loss last week, losing 30-21 but it never seemed like they were in the game. #14 Oklahoma went into #22 Notre Dame's house and with 2 early interceptions, 1 for a TD, controlled the game 35-21. #15 Miami (FL) had a walk though against South Florida winning easily 49-21. #16 Washington hosted fellow PAC-12 unbeaten Arizona and continued to impress 31-13. #20 Florida continued Kentucky's woes this season with a 24-7 victory. Navy got the first score against Western Kentucky but that was as the Hilltoppers kept going strong with a 17-9 win. USC had major fallout after its crushing loss to Arizona State 62-41 as Coach Lane Kiffin was fired soon after the team's plane touched back down in Los Angeles. East Carolina did it again, getting a win over a major conference team by taking down North Carolina 55-31. Illinois didn't have any trouble with Miami (OH) as they cruised to a 50-14 win.

  • Gillyharold and BxBarracuda pulled off the trifecta, each earning a perfect pick, solo and underdog bonus points. Bx for 14 correct and picking East Carolina solo as and over 10 point underdog, while gillyharold pulled off the feat with 13 correct and picking West Virginia as a solo and over 10 point underdog. Wwe84 also got the solo and underdog points for the West Virginia upset while perfect pick bonus points for 13 correct also went to dg_dave, George, Howie, Dizart and illiniman. We set a new record for group bonus points in 1 week with 13.

  • Bx picked up the HoF with 14 correct and ozzz2002 took the spoon with 5 this week.

  • The underdog winners were Western Kentucky, East Carolina, West Virginia.

  • Tajh Boyd and #3 Clemson had a ball visiting Syracuse in the Carrier Dome and leaving with a 49-14 win. #15 Washington got within a field goal of #5 Stanford 3 times in the 2nd half but ran out of time and the Cardinals were the ones to stay perfect with a 31-28 victory. #6 Georgia got all they could handle at Tennessee as the Bulldogs needed a 1:49 second drive that culminated in a 3rd and goal touchdown with 5 seconds left to force overtime against the Volunteers and then an unfortunate break for Tennessee when their running back lost control of the ball just before breaking the plane of the goal line, which resulted in a turnover rather than a touchdown, allowing Georgia to run 3 plays and kick the game winning field goal for 34-31 win. #10 LSU struggled early with Mississippi State but scored 4 4th quarter touchdowns to close out the game 59-26. TCU came back from a 13-0 halftime deficit against #11 Oklahoma but could only get within a field goal at the end of the game losing 20-17. Georgia Tech's option running attack put them ahead of #14 Miami (FL) 17-7 but Miami's defensive adjustments slowed down the Yellow Jackets and a late defensive TD gave the Hurricanes a 45-30 victory. West Virginia couldn't make it 2 upsets of top 25 times in a row as #17 Baylor racked up almost 400 passing yards and over 450 rushing yards on their way to a 66-21 lead after 3 quarters and a 73- 42 trouncing of the Mountaineers. Arkansas struck first against #18 Florida but it was the Gators day 30-10. Kansas State almost made it 2 losses in a row for #21 Oklahoma State, but the Cowboys got 10 4th quarter points to top the Wildcats 33-29. #22 Arizona State played a back and forth game with Notre Dame in Arlington, TX and with 2 late interceptions, 1 for a TD, the Fighting Irish came out on top 37-34. #24 Ole Miss made it back to back losses in the same state as Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall ran all over them in the 1st half, while the Tiger defense scored a TD on an interception, got 6 sacks and kept Rebel quarterback Bo Wallace on the move and off balance most of the game closing out the 30-22 Auburn win with back to back sacks of Wallace. Cincinnati went behind South Florida early 26-6 and 2 4th quarter TDs weren't enough to stop the Bulls from getting their first win of the year 26-20. Rice didn't score in the 2nd half which let Tulsa overcome a 14 point deficit, but the Owls TD in overtime topped the Golden Hurricane's field goal 30-27. Michigan State got its Big 10 schedule going well against Iowa, taking down the Hawkeyes 26-14. Illinois found out that Nebraska will be fine without quarterback Taylor Martinez, and maybe better off, as the Corn Huskers controlled the game winning 39-19. The Air Force game at Navy was almost cancelled due to the Government funding shutdown, but non-Government funds were used by the teams to make the game happen and allow the Midshipmen to beat the Falcons 28-10.

  • Gillyharold and wwe found a way to earn solo and underdog points for the 2nd week in a row for their picks of South Florida this week. Themonarch earned a perfect pick bonus point for 15/16, Bx, gtho and Howie got 1 for 14/16 and Sypher earned 1 for 13/16. George95 and N-Bomb had 13 correct, but they only picked 1 underdog each so were unavailable for a perfect pick bonus point.

  • Themonarch took the HoF with 15/16, only missing the South Florida upset of Cincinnati, while paper_aero and gillyharold, who still improved his position on the ladder slightly with bonus points, took their 2nd spoons with 10/15. Our new leader is Howie, making him the 5th leader, 4th solo leader, out of the 6 weeks of the competition.

  • The underdog winners were Rice, South Florida, Auburn and Notre Dame.

Michigan State showed how good their defense is by shutting out Purdue 14-0. East Carolina kept Southern Miss winless 55-14. Cincinnati got an easy win over Connecticut 41-16. Wake Forest stepped up their game and upset Maryland 34-10. Notre Dame wasn't impressive agaisnt USC but won 14-10 as neither team scored in the 2nd half. If someone had 2 underdogs, aren't they eligible for bonus points?

Dizart only had one underdog picked (Indiana), therefore is ineligible, but all others should be.

It should have been 2 games, I must have copied something wrong somewhere along the way.

Now I have to think about what to do, on a Wednesday no less.

Since the rule states 1, I am going to have to fix this week and go back to some older weeks as well to make adjustments where the same situation occured. I'll have it reset by the weekend.

As well as adjustments to Week 10, this past week, I will be looking into Weeks 4, 6 and 9 for the same reason.

  • #1 Alabama used missed opportunities by #13 LSU to hold them off early and overwhelm them in the 2nd half for a 38-17 win. #5 Stanford did it again to #3 Oregon handing them their first defeat 2 seasons in a row and strengthening their own position in the BCS with a 26-20 upset victory. #6 Baylor took control against #10 Oklahoma late in the first half and cruised to a 41-12 triumph. #8 Missouri crushed Kentucky 48-17. #9 Auburn had a big 2nd half against Tennessee and walked away winners 55-23. Virginia Tech stepped up against #11 Miami and won 42-24. #15 Texas A&M shot it out with Mississippi State and emerged victorious 51-41. #19 UCLA proved worthy against Arizona and edged out a 31-26 win. #21 UCF remained unbeaten taking down Houston 19-14 and keeping their BCS game hopes alive. #22 Arizona State just got by Utah 20-19. Pittsburgh upended #23 Notre Dame 28-21. #24 Wisconsin kept up their solid play by beating BYU 27-17. Ole Miss continued Arkansas and new coach Bret Bielema’s rough season 34-24, perhaps making him miss his great seasons leading Wisconsin. USC has been looking good after firing Lane Kiffin and California was their latest victim 62-28. Syracuse held down the Maryland offense and won 20-3. Nebraska looked strong against Michigan winning 17-13.

  • Solo and Underdog points were taken on Thursday night by illiniman and wwe for the Stanford upset of Oregon. Themonarch scored a bonus point for Virginia Techs win over Miami, srini was the only one to pick Pittsburgh over Notre Dame to earn a solo bonus point and favored UCLA earned gillyharold and Dizart solo bonus points.

  • Gillyharold missed the Thursday night games and didn't make a pick for the Texas A&M v Mississippi State game. He got default for the Thursday night games, which is the road teams and I gave him Texas A&M for that game because all other tippers had picked Texas A&M for that game.

  • The HoF went to illiniman14 with 12 correct and the spoon was shared by ozzz2002 and Sypher with 7.

  • The underdog winners were Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and Nebraska.

  • #1 Alabama won the defensive battle with Mississippi State 20-7. #2 Florida State was firing on all cylinders against Syracuse swatting them 59-3. #3 Ohio State ran up the score on Illinois 60-35. USC continued their brilliant mid-season run against #4 Stanford 20-17, leaving the PAC-12 looking from the outside in at the Championship game this year. #5 Baylor put up big numbers on reeling Texas Tech winning 63-34. #7 Auburn needed a miracle of their own to hold off #25 Georgia’s miraculous 4th quarter comeback 43-38. #10 South Carolina got by Florida 19-14. #12 Oklahoma State has woken up and remembered why there was talk of them in the Championship game this year, this time beating Texas 38-13. #16 Michigan State had to use offense instead of defense to top Nebraska 34-28. #17 UCF won again, barely this time against Temple 39-36. #19 Arizona State got their 8th win of the year by beating Oregon State 30-17. Washington State upset Arizona 24-17, who may have been caught looking ahead to next week’s match with #5 Oregon. Kansas State continued to salvage their slow start by topping TCU 33-31. Kansas ran into the Hyde form of West Virginia’s split personality winning31-19 and getting their first Big 12 win in 2 years. Cincinnati was too much for Rutgers defeating them 52-27. North Carolina didn’t let Pittsburgh enjoy their win over Notre Dame last week for long, beating them 34-27.

  • Solo and Underdog points were earned by ozzz for the Washington State upset of Arizona, gillyharold got a solo bonus point for the Kansas win over West Virginia and dg_dave got a bonus perfect pick bonus points for 13 right.

  • The HoF went to dg_dave for 13/16 and ozzz took the spoon with 7 right.

  • #10 Oklahoma State Cowboys roped the #4 Baylor Bears and ended Baylor's hopes of a National Title, the early omen of doom for the Bear's came early as quarterback Bryce Petty stumbled on a sure TD inside the 5 and 2 plays later a fumble on the 1 yard line led to no points. Arizona put a hurting on #5 Oregon 42-16. #8 Missouri played a solid game and beat #24 Ole Miss 24-10. #9 Stanford beat a California team having a really down year 63-13. #22 LSU looked strong by smothering the powerful #12 Texas A&M offense, winning 34-10. #17 Arizona State won their place in the PAC-12 Championship game by holding off #14 UCLA 38-33. #20 Oklahoma weathered a 3 TD 2nd quarter by Kansas State and won easily 41-31. Washington overwhelmed Oregon State taking a 48-0 lead into the 4th quarter and a 69-27 win. Nebraska hung tough and topped Penn State in overtime 23-20. Georgia was too much Kentucky taking the game 59-17. East Carolina pulled off a double this year beating North Carolina State 42-28, after beating North Carolina earlier this year. Notre Dame got 2 1st quarter touchdowns against BYU and cruised to a 23-13 win. Vanderbilt won a defensive battle against Tennessee 14-10. Mississippi State needed overtime to top Arkansas 24-17. Connecticut got their first win of the year, coming back from a 21-0 halftime deficit against Temple, winning 28-21. Pittsburgh edged Syracuse 17-16.

  • Solo and Underdog points were taken by wwe84 for the Oklahoma State upset of Baylor. Ozzz2002 took Solo and Underdog points for the Oklahoma State win, as well as the Arizona win over Oregon and another Solo point for Connecticut's first win of the year, just missing the underdog point as Temple was only favored by 9 points.

  • The HoF went to BxBarracuda with a paltry 11/16 as HoFs go and the spoon was shared by N-Bomb and themonarch with 6. This week belonged to ozzz as the best tipper with his 10 correct picks to go along with 5 bonus points, setting 2 new weekly records regarding Bonus Points he had previously shared with gillyharold.

  • The underdog winners outnumbered the favored teams this week as Arizona, Washington, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and Connecticut all defied the experts.

  • In a game that may become known as "The Second" #4 Auburn surprised #1 Alabama 34-28 on a run back of a missed Field Goal with 1 second left in regulation, that second had been put back on the clock by the replay booth, to win the “Iron Bowl” and took home the James E. Foy, V-ODK Sportsmanship Trophy in this game first played in 1893. #2 Florida State had little trouble with Florida handling them a 37-7 defeat, these 2 schools have played each other since 1958, and the Florida Cup which includes Miami (FL) has been vied for since 2002 and was taken by the Seminoles this year. #3 Ohio State played the game of the week against Michigan winning “The Game” which has been fought out since 1897, winning a back and forth game 42-41 stopping a Michigan 2 point try late in the game to seal the victory. In the “Palmetto Bowl” #10 South Carolina was triumphant for the 5th year in a row in this this match up first contested in 1896 over #6 Clemson 31-17. #8 Stanford won a hard fought battle with Notre Dame 27-20 and take the Legends Trophy, they first met up in 1925 #9 Baylor squeaked by TCU 41-38 in a game that has been around since 1899. #12 Arizona State won the right to host the PAC-12 Championship game by defeating Arizona 51-28 to take the Territorial Cup, these teams first played each other in 1899. #13 Oregon edged Oregon State 36-35 in the “Civil War” to take the Platypus Trophy, these teams first met in 1894. #22 UCLA beat arch rival #23 USC 35-14 to earn the Victory Bell, these teams have played each other starting in 1929. Normally this game is only a big deal when it comes to College Basketball, but in a big game #24 Duke won their way into the ACC Championship game with a 27-25 victory over North Carolina to earn their own Victory Bell, these teams have faced off since 1888, the Blue Devils also swept the “Tobacco Road Rivalry” by also beating N.C. State and Wake Forest this season. Northwestern snapped out of their funk and topped Illinois 37-34 to win the Land of Lincoln Trophy, they first met on the gridiron in 1892. Washington beat Washington State for the Apple Cup in rivalry started in 1900 by a score of 27-24. Kansas State became bowl eligible by outscoring Kansas 31-10 in Governor's Cup, a match up that has been played since 1902. Virginia Tech’s used tough defense to top Virginia 16-6 and take the Commonwealth Cup in a series that originated in 1895. Tennessee was better than Kentucky by a score of 27-14 in a game that has been around since 1893. Georgia and Georgia Tech met tin the “Clean, Old Fashioned Hate Game” for the Governor's Cup and the Bulldogs came back to top the Yellow Jackets in overtime 41-24 and the game originated in 1893.

  • Underdog points went to Bx, dg_dave and Dizart for their pick of Auburn over Alabama. Those 3 along with Gillyharold and Sypher also picked up perfect pick bonus points. Dizart earned his perfect pick bonus point by literally being perfect and picking all 16 games correct.

  • Dizart left no chance he wouldn't win the HoF by picking all 16 games right, and ozzz took the spoon with 6. Dizart also vaults into the season lead with 3 rounds left.

  • The underdog winners Duke, Auburn and UCLA.

  • #1 Florida State didn’t score in the 1st Quarter against #20 Duke, but they still took the ACC Championship game 45-7, solidifying their position for the BCS Championship game in January. #10 Michigan State’s defense had to face its toughest test in #2 Ohio State and the Spartans were down 24-20 going into the 4th quarter, but they dug deep and didn’t allow another point as the offense was able to put up 14 for a 34-24 win, the Big Ten Championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl. In an uncharacteristic SEC Championship game where both teams scored over 10 points per quarter through 3 quarters #3 Auburn got the only 14 points in the 4th quarter to defeat #5 Missouri 59-42, as Auburn running back Tre Mason ran for over 300 yards in the game. #17 Oklahoma was even quarter by quarter with #6 Oklahoma State though 3 Quarters and after the Cowboys took a 4 point lead with 1:46 left, Oklahoma scored with 19 seconds left to take the lead and got some icing for the cake on the final play of the game on a defensive touchdown to win the Bedlam Bell 33-24. #7 Stanford went into #11 Arizona State and manhandled them 38-14. #9 Baylor was able to secure the Big 12 title this year following Oklahoma’s win earlier in the day by defeating #25 Texas 30-10. Bowling Green spoiled #14 Northern Illinois hopes of a second BCS Bowl game to win the MAC Championship 47-27, putting up 14 plus points in 3 quarters. #16 UCF earned their way into a BCS Bowl with 14 points in the 3rd quarter to defeat SMU 17-14, they won the first ever American Athletic Conference, which was formally the Big East. #19 Louisville needed a 4th quarter comeback and touchdown in overtime to get a win over Cincinnati 31-24. #23 Fresno State bounced back from their first loss of the year to beat Utah State 24-17 and win the Mountain West title. Rice takes the Conference USA title over Marshall 41-24, ending a drought since their last title outright title in 1957. After starting out 0-9 UCONN won their 3rd straight divisional game 45-10 over Memphis. Rutgers finished on a good note with a 31-6 win over South Florida. South Alabama put up 30 1st half points and got a 30-8 win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Southern used a touchdown in overtime to avenge their early season loss to Jackson State to take the SWAC title from them 34-27. Through snow, sleet, wind and freezing rain the cadets from the Navy and Army faced off in their annual gridiron battle, the Navy has won the last 11 meetings and this year was no different as the Midshipmen prevailed 34-7 over the Black Knights, this game was first played in 1890 and the Navy holds the series lead (58-49) with 7 games ending in ties, with this win the Naval Academy also won the Commander-in-Chief's trophy for the 2nd year in row and 9th time in 11 years, which is also competed for with the Air Force Academy.

  • Ozzz2002 grabbed all the bonus points this round, starting with a solo point for the Bowling Green upset of Northern Illinois and then getting an underdog point as well as a solo point for the Oklahoma upset of Oklahoma State.

  • George95 takes the HoF with a 12, which moves him back into 2nd place and only 1 point behind leader Dizart, who shared the spoon with Sypher, paper_aero and wwe84 this week with 8's.

  • The underdog winners Bowling Green, Connecticut, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Stanford, Southern and Rice

  • Welcome cubswin2323, you've entered the competition at the wildest time of the year.

  • Mountain West Champion Fresno State had a good year but USC was too much for them in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl 45-20. East Carolina got to 10 wins this season with a 37-20 victory over Ohio in the Beef O’Brady’s Bowl St. Petersburg. Oregon State topped Boise State in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl 38-23. Pittsburgh edged MAC Champion Bowling Green 30-27 in the Little Caesar’s Bowl. Utah State had a coming out party to the country by handling BCS Bowl hopeful Northern Illinois 21-14 in the San Diego County Poinsettia Bowl. Marshall bounced back from their loss in the Conference USA Championship game and outscored Maryland 31-20 in the Military Bowl Presented by Northrup Grumman. Minnesota had a good year but they ran into Syracuse in the Texas Bowl and lost 21-17. The Fight Hunger Bowl was taken by Washington for topping BYU 31-16. Rutgers hung around with Notre Dame for the first half of the New Era Pinstripe Bowl but fell to the Fighting Irish 29-16. North Carolina was too strong for Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl getting a 39-17 win. The Russell Athletic Bowl had Louisville capping off a 12 win 1 loss season by beating Miami (FL) 36-9. The Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl had two teams who under achieved this year face off, with Kansas State finishing the season on a high note winning 31-14 over Michigan. Navy manhandled Middle Tennessee 24-6 in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. The Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl saw Ole Miss end up with a victory over Georgia Tech 25-17. Oregon played strong and smothered Texas 30-7 in the Valero Alamo Bowl, which ended up being Mack Brown’s last game as head coach of the Longhorns. The National University Holiday Bowl had the biggest surprise of this round as Texas Tech shocked Arizona State 37-24.

  • Ozzz2002 gets the only bonus point of the week for his solo pick of Syracuse, we all missed the solo and underdog points which could have been earned if any of us had picked Texas Tech.

  • dg_dave takes the HoF with 12 and cubswin gets to an inauspicious start with his first spoon with a 6.

  • dg_dave takes the top spot on the ladder, leading Dizart and George95 by 1, with 1 week to go and they are 6 clear of 4th place.

  • The underdog winners were Pittsburgh, Utah State, Syracuse and Texas Tech.

I'm not sure if it was previously noted, but standard HoF minus Wooden Spoon will be used to seperate any ties.

I doubt it's me...I was atop the leader board the first year with one week to go and then didn't even make podium, if I remember correctly.

My apologies for being lax on this one, the after holidays business at work has made me not want to look at a computer much at home. That and getting the write ups done. I'll have everything completed on Saturday.

I can say it was between three people, two of which I'm replying to here, and that it came down to a tie breaker.

It came down to the three people being tied going into the last game.

I'll have to check my records for the competition, but I think in the first year illiniman and gtho4 were decently ahead of the field and I could never catch them from 3rd place.

Wow, that was a surprise. Congrats to Dizart and Dave, and thanks to Bx.

Now if the limited records that I keep are correct, that's now 3 complete seasons for me in this comp without a spoon.
