I noticed that, too. On some questions, the "False" button comes before the "True" button.

I can't answer that, as I'm not colorblind, but you know that is a consideration. Why not make things as accessible as possible if you are building new? I was going to say that I preferred the colorscheme of the current Quiz Game mode over this new scheme, but I didn't want to distract from other issues before.

Actually, to tell the truth, I prefer the colorscheme of the current untimed Flash mode best of all because it is higher in contrast, and for my eyes, that's much, much better. I don't suppose it would be possible to produce something with higher contrast for the new HTML5 modes?

About the new timed Quiz Game mode...

I notice that I can't use the tab key or the space bar or the enter key the way I could in the Flash version. Would it be possible permit those keyboard shortcuts?

Also, if I hit 'Tab' and then 'Enter' on an answer page, it takes me out of the quiz to the Quiz Details page. I remember that was a problem in the Untimed Game mode, and that was fixed, so would it be possible to fix it for this one?

Love the new look but is there any chance of making it 'centre' on the PC screen like the older version.

I play on a large screen and flash is now showing up on the top lefthand corner instead of central.

It's only a small issue but it would be helpful

Thanks

I agree with Midget40. I'd like to see both the QUIZ GAME and the UNTIMED GAME centralised. I find myself leaning to the left while playing instead of sitting upright!

The quiz game ignores returns, while the untimed game doesn't. Sometimes the line breaks are important. You can see an example here:
http://www.funtrivia.com/quizdetails.cfm?quiz=341737

Also, with really long questions, the untimed game's shrinking of the text size makes the questions so small that they are unreadable.

The time allowed for reading the questions seems a bit odd, too. I've had long questions where the answer screen comes up before I've read even half while other questions in the same quiz I could read two or three times. I can't detect any pattern, but it has put me off using the format unless forced to by a challenge.

I've noticed this too. There have been some very long questions where I can't even get through the first sentence before it jumps to the choices. Haven't found a pattern either for this; there's definitely some inconsistency somewhere with the time being allocated to each question.

It would be great if someone could post a quiz where the delay time isnt long enough (for the avg person) to read the question. Thx.

OK. I've got to play several quizzes for one of today's challenge, so I'll try them in the flash mode. I probably won't find one now!

Edit to add - I've just played about ten quizzes without any problems. Maybe it was a 'teething problem' which has solved itself, but I'll try to remember to report the next time it happens to me.

I have found a "fast" presentation of answer choices a few times, but I think the problem was mine, in double-clicking when moving on from the previous question, thus triggering the showing of the MC choices. Could be wrong, but that seemed to be what happened.

I'd love to. I haven't been able to work out how, lol.

None of the obvious centering techniques work properly.

If there are any CSS experts in the house I'd appreciate your thoughts by PM.

Thanks for trying and thanks to anyone who can offer advice.

I'm starting to get a crick in my neck from playing!

Look centered now?

I ended up asking at a CSS expert forum and they helped out. Looks good to me!

I am going to keep the ipad version left aligned though, as it's more finger-friendly.

Still top left for me - do I need to 'refresh' something to make it change (my PC vocabulary is great isn't it)

Terry - I just played this quiz, where the timing for reading questions was inconsistent for me:

http://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Animals/Why-Does-My-Parrot-Do-That-217708.html

Questions 2, 3 & 4 (or maybe it was 3, 4 & 5) barely gave time for me to read them in Quiz Game Mode.

Edit to add - question 14 in this quiz flashed by. Luckily I only needed to read the first sentence (of about 5) to answer, because that's all I had time to do:

( smile Check it's not a sensitive mouse clicking without your permission -- I had that problem, then through a bit of experimentation I discovered that my mouse was secretly playing its own game. I've just played the parrot quiz and it was fine.)

Sometimes a hint will be longer than usual, and partially obscured by the answer box. Mostly it doesn't seem to matter, and really doesn't warrant imho the quiz being barred from quiz/untimed modes. But it might be easy to fix?

An example:

Question 7

Thanks for the suggestion, but I really don't think it's anything to do with the mouse. I've just played both those quizzes again, and the parrot one was fine. The Bible one - questions 11 & 12 went to the answer screen almost immediately, but question 14, which I had trouble with before, didn't. I have no idea what is happening, or why.
