Here we have the funicular railway taking people to the Hohensalzburg Fortress in Salzburg, Austria. I decided that I would walk up the hill instead. smile

How about some good old-fashioned horsepower? I dread to think how sore this woman's thighs were after riding that enormous horse around the village for an afternoon, It was simply enormous!!! :

Wow. Very dramatic, Chavs!

This was my mode of transport yesterday when I got to spend the day on Sydney harbour on the tall ship The Endeavour.

With my industrial utility wagon I transport all manner of things. The box on the handle is a joint where a cart hitch can attach. The white pins in the hinges are oversized cotter pins that can be pulled out to convert the wagon to a flat bed. The red reflectors (there are amber ones on the front) are for dawn and dusk visibility and safety. The tires are inflatable (which I had to do to roll the thing out for its big picture session). It can handle a 1,000#s though I have yet to test whether I can PULL a 1,000#s!
Looks like my lens is foggy and not my yard.

At least one person who frequents this forum will recognise this bus. This is the "village bus" that Maynooth and I took to visit a very special friend (ren) when we visited Hong Kong last year.

That's the one! I use it every day.
Minibuses like this keep Hong Kong moving. They seem to visit every nook and cranny of this wonderful territory. I don't know quite where we would be without them.
In the same area where Mother Goose and Maynooth caught the minibus, here are the HK taxis. Red for the city, green for the New Territories and slightly cheaper. I reckon they are good value too. Flagfall is still only about One pound fifty.

They are still making VW campers in Brazil as far as I know, but this is the first one with a front engine I've ever seen.

The number plate on Dot's photo is an odd one, France changed their plates a couple of years ago but were black on white, this seems to have possibly replaced theirs with the new type (as they can there) but as it is when the plates were white on black appear to use that version.

Here is a photograph of 'The Mayflower', the sole remaining, working steam tug anywhere in the world... Unless, of course, anyone knows different?

Sorry Sister Seagull I had to remove your two last posts in this thread as the rule is
Post only one photo per week in the 'themed' thread.
Lately some of us have been posting more than one per week , Please could you not do this? Thanks all.

Last July we attended the American Independence Day celebrations in Perth which included a display of classic cars. It was almost impossible to get a photo without people crowding around the cars. This is the only one without recognisable people in it.
