Maybe you spotted this month's deliberate mistake. Anyway it really IS December and I look forward to your wonderful photos for the Christmas month.

Howie: lovely bird (as always)

David: wow, your alleys have cobblestones? Here, if folks have any alleys at all, they are either dirt, gravel, or asphalt, sigh.

Hey, we have one of those. We put it on the deck, roll out the awning, and with the enclosed sides, it is very warm and toasty...yes for marshmellows. I put a grill on it the other day and cooked a steak. Better than a bbque.

Is this the thread where you can post more than one per week?
One a day (That is why it is called "Photo a Day ")
Post only one photo per day in the following threads:

* Photo-a-Day.
* Image Art.

Post only one photo per week in the 'themed' thread.

Cobblestones are a lot rarer now but we still have the odd place which hasn't lost them. Since I found the new compact can take proper photos at night I went out yesterday and gave it a proper run. These are offices on the massive Park Royal industrial estate, about two miles square

Back to Copenhagen again and the Rundetårn or Round Tower. Built from 1637 to 1642 as an astronomical observatory though I cannot see why it is called the Round Tower..... grin

Here we have a Lady Amherst's pheasant at the Brooklands Zoo in New Plymouth. Never seemed to want to look my way and was often hiding.

Here we have Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen, seen from the front. It was built in the early 1600's and set in the Kings Garden - the oldest public park in Copenhagen. Somewhere in there are the Danish Crown Jewels.

Decembrrr! Anywhere from 2-4" of sleet fell overnight. This was at a grocery store on the way home. I don't mind the sub-freezing temps, but this stuff can stay away!

A view across Stonebridge Park

This is between Harlesden and Neasden for anyone familiar, as I know a good few are.

dg dave, I will take your sleet if you take my cold. It has warmed up today to -15C. The wind chill factor has been horrendous here. I will take the precipitation any day.

Yes dotb, very cold here, very cold. I can only hope that it kills some bugs that have infested many trees here. One of them the pine beetle.

It was a storm, as Ren said. People were evacuated out of their homes overnight. The wind speed of over 100 mph and a spring tide met and was quite a sight. The north Wales coast got off quite lightly compared to the east coast where houses were swept into the sea. frown
