Not sure what time the crash started, but it was down at 6.10 my time when I tried to get on the site (half an hour ago from now).

I don't know when it went down but I tried 20 minutes ago to play the daily World game and it wouldn't load. I tried just now and it told me it was resetting and to wait a few minutes.

Another clue - the GC games haven't reset, although they say the sets have 11 hours 18 minutes to run.

45 to 50 minutes past the hour is when it started crashing.

Based on "Who' Online" lists over on quizzyland, I'd say it crashed around 11.49 FT time, give or take a minute or two.

GC definitely needs a kick, Terry. All my games from this morning are still showing and should have reset at the top of this hour (52 minutes ago).

The World quiz where I just got 12/20 correct (about average for me) just stated I took 728 seconds to complete--i guess when I got that message, or right when the site went down, it started counting.

There were 11 minutes left to play in the early GC set when the site stopped responding for me.
And right before I came here to read this thread, the GC has not yet reset. It is showing the previous topics and reading that I've already played all the games.

Of course by the time I've typed this all out, Terry may have reset the GC.

Edited to add: yup, reset while I typed.

I was fairly sure that I loaded a page with 10 minutes left in the hour and couldn't load at 5 minutes left. So, if you have reports of :49 and :50 then it might have been a rolling blackout/shutdown.

It went down around 5.53pm UK time, I noted it on Facebook as so many people there would hear about it. It came back within the hour but I didn't check till then so only know the crystal ball ran the following hour and it was still off around 6.10 when I did. It may have been a little before 5.53 but that was when I checked crystal ball but hadn't been many minutes before the last checkin.

I am experiencing frequent page loading delays (maybe false loading complete registrations because some of them just freeze incompletely loaded?). I have had to refresh a dozen (maybe less) times this morning. Other sites are loading fine. Most of the FT loads are going well, it's just that an unusual amount aren't.
