Wow, big pile of garden fertiliser - where is it and can I get a wheelbarrow in there?

And so the planting begins. Not to mention the back ache!

Not to detract from your glorious riot of colour, Flopsy, but what is the lovely white stuff on the right?

The stuff climbing up the back of my garages? I'm not sure what sort it is but it's a variety of clematis montana. It's actually a very, very pale pink. Naturally I painted the fence to make a perfect foil for it... tongue

I'm still thoroughly enjoying all of your photos - thanks again to everyone.
I, too, love poppies, mine aren't quite open yet but I also have a montana clematis that is a mass of blooms right now and blooms again in September.

The fertiliser's in Bushey next to my old stables where I went for a good few years in the 60s. You need to leave it for a year though for it to lose its acidity. Here's the motorway footbridge just along the path.

So do I Mike, I was happy to stand there for 30 minutes or so while the sun rose. This was an earlier photo with a rather pink Pacific Ocean.

After finding a few old signs online at the weekend on what was about to be a demolition site two years ago I rushed over just in case (almost 20 miles) to find the whole place flattened, and the very next day this and its matching partner turned up a few miles away to make up for it. I'm sure they'll bring back some nostalgia to some people, and now completed my set from 9-16' by filling in the gap as well.

Great photos everybody! This little family of Canada geese were good enough to stay close to the river bank for a photo op this afternoon.

Gorgeous!

Here's Precious with her friend Smokey, who lives next door. This is the only cat that Precious tolerates at all, she prefers dogs!

My third digital camera can manage photos at night, this is Park Crescent opposite Regents Park

Smokey's a lovely affectionate cat, who turned up as a straggly stray just over a year ago. Lots of TLC from my neighbours and you see the result smile

He didn't turn up today when Precious and I were out, so here's herself, posing as usual.

I was wondering whether to show another of the sunrise photos and in the end I decided I would as I could not be bothered heading back tonight to find where I was up to with the other photos. Again we have the Washdyke Lagoon and Pacific Ocean.

So, after a lovely romp round the park where she got to play with all her friends for an hour or so Susie, or The Princess, as she now likes to be known, decided on an afternoon nap, but not in her bed - oh no, not good enough for her any more.

That bears an uncanny resemblance to my Aunty's bedroom Christina. If I can get a photo I'll show it to you.

I may not have a cat of my own at the moment but will take any others I pass.

Just returned from a short break on the Isle Of Wight. Amongst the day trips we had was a visit
to Osbourne House, Queen Victoria's favourite. This is the house from the back.

I've been there. It is sort of out of place with the Isle of Wight really, this massive Victorian edifice on a small island. Very impressive nonetheless
