Just to show what a mild winter we have had, this lavender has been in flower now for a couple of weeks, a good two months early.

A solo tree on the other side of the road heading to the MacKenzie Country at the deer farm near Fairlie. The fence is much higher than a standard farm fence which indicates the deer farm is on this side of the road as well.

Lots of lovely nature photos this month, a real pleasure to admire. I'll add some lovely bluebells, as I was delighted to come across heaps of them carpeting our local forest when I went for a stroll this afternoon:

Gorgeous photo, love a bluebell wood.

The last few days we have a feral cat wandering round the garden, at least I assume it is feral judging by the way it hissed and spat at me before running off. Needless to say Susie does not approve!

If that's not Susie I don't think it's feral, it looks very well looked after.

Here's one of the best art deco houses I've come across, in Bexley.

Love that house, satguru! Christinap, that looks like a small lion and I agree with sat, looks to be well looked after. Love all the flowers! Still don't have too many of those, so here is a pretty quilt at the quilt show I went to yesterday.

That looks like one very healthy and well-fed feral cat up there, Christinap, and Spanishliz what a cool looking quilt! The choice of fabrics to give that fading effect of the colors is excellent, my mother-in-law (a quilting fanatic) would have loved to see it.
What a very Hercule-Poirot-looking house, Satguru!

It does look very well fed I agree. No-one round here has cats though, it's a doggy area, so perhaps it's a stray. Might try and tempt it in with some food and see if Cats Protection or someone can take it and scan it.

I look at all the beautiful flowers and green grass and sigh. The temperature here fell to -10C last night, and it has been snowing every other day. My father is 84 years old and has lived here all his life. He says he has never seen a winter like this.

Geez, I sure hope so. My kitchen looks like a greenhouse. I have lots of plants to be transplanted outside.
