Indulge me. I just love gateways and doors. Thanks.

Front of my childhood home in Gloucester. It is Edwardian and therefore listed. I hate that they are allowed to paint the door in that blue and that is it now an Insurance Company

As many days as in one year there be,
So many windows in this church you see,
As many marble pillars here appear
As there are hours throughout the fleeting year,
As many gates as moons one here does view,
Strange tale to tell, yet not more strange than true.

Well, there aren't twelve gates in this view but if you walk around the whole building you'll find some more. smile

Not very exciting, but an entrance I'm rather fond of as it's home.

Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. There's a door there somewhere, to the museum, because this place was itself the entrance to Canada for many immigrants between 1928 and 1971.

This is the lychgate to St. Mildred's church, Whippingham on the Isle Of Wight.
It's close to Osbourne House & is the church used by Queen Victoria & family
when she was staying on the island. It's still used today by royalty if they're
using Osbourne House or so I'm told.

The path leading up to my front door acquired some small marker lights yesterday - unfortunately when it's still light enough to take a photograph, it's not dark enough for the lights to come on but when it is dark enough and the lights do come on so does the camera flash and you still can't see what it looks like! laugh
