Glad it hit the target there Sara, I will reveal it now as Highbury Fields, and somewhere I spent four years of my life next to at college so was a bit of a nostalgic visit.

Here's another view just round the corner

The Old Opera House in Frankfurt (the New Opera House will follow later). Construction began in 1873 and opened in 1880. After being destroyed by bombs in 1944 it was rebuilt in the 1970's, opening again in 1981. My friend tried to get me in to have a quick look at the main hall but it was in use and I could not.

This is Chip. He's three and a half weeks old and as cute as a button. He was the only one in the litter so he's getting a whole bunch of milk and is fat. Really fat. laugh
He's a Kelpie. His mum is black and the dogs that could have gotten to her are all black too so not sure where this little fella's colouring came from!

Lovely puppy!

Another of my straight roads, next to the one from yesterday. They are the exception in Britain and the rule nearly everywhere else. But I take every one I get the chance to as I won't get the chance much otherwise.

Sorry it has been a while since I last posted - real life has been getting in the way of good intentions. I have been spending a lot of time scrapbooking and bringing my photo albums up to date. Ren, would you believe I am currently working on my Hong Kong scrapbook - should have it finished today or tomorrow. I am having a great time re-living my trip in my head!

I recently went away on a scrapbooking weekend with three friends. I can't believe how much stuff my friend Maria managed to fit into her compact car. This is only about half of the stuff she brought with her.

Looking out over the town of Waihi from Martha Gold Mine, before heading to the Coromandel Peninsula.

I recently re-did one of my front beds, nothing grew there very well, not good ground despite loads of fertiliser etc. So, it was completely dug out (ground was so hard my occasional garden helper had to use a pick axe on it), membrane down, sunk a couple of long planters in, put down beach pebbles and a couple of pots, and this is the final result. I'm pleased with it. Low maintenance and I can change the tubs with the seasons with minimal effort.

Pretty part of the world, Howie and your garden bed is lovely, Christinap!
You got me thinking about scrapbooking, MG .. haven't done it in a while but have been doing cards.

Here is another ball of cuteness we have at the moment. Every so often if it's a quiet day we'll go out in the middle of nowhere and have a BBQ and explore around. We went for a wander and were looking at a little cave thing when this little fella walked up to us .. no sign of any other goats about and he had a few puncture wounds where maybe a fox, dog, eagle?? had had hold of him frown So he's home now, called Oliver and while he's not out of the woods just yet he's doing okay.

The village green in Woodcote, which is pretty much geographically at the bottom of London.

Some of the fountains in the water feature in Bristol city centre. Frankly, I preferred when it
was all grass...

Have now finished my Hong Kong/Macau scrapbook from 2012 - can't believe it has been over 18 months since we were there. At the time, I did not post very many pictures of that holiday in this forum so I hope you don't mind if I post a few more now.

This giant fungus was in the window of one of the stores (Yue Hwa Chinese Products) in Kowloon. I did a lot of shopping there - thanks for the recommendation, ren. This fungus was worth about $3700 - $4000 (US or Australian dollars) at the time.

Every time I look at it I wonder just how it can be called a delicacy! Thanks Carole!

You won't hear a complaint about that. We want chips with everything, please.

Ironic isn't it, but I wonder if they would have been allowed such a fantastic sprinkler system to water the grass? Yes, to water the pavement, of course, no problem...
