Martin, I love your pics of the Isle of Wight but when are we getting to what's brown and steamy and comes out of cows? What's brown and steamy and goes into Yarmouth doesn't have quite the same ring to it. wink

Just past Patiti Point at the southern boundary of Timaru where Saltwater Creek almost reaches the Pacific Ocean. A short walk along the beach before joining the coastal walkway again, either to branch to the right and head through the Otipua Wetlands and to continue down the coast a bit. The plan is to continue the walkway further south to Jack's Point (photo to follow later). In the background are the Hunters Hills. A southerly is approaching but luckily I got back home (still almost another 2 hours to walk) with just a couple of light showers albeit icy cold showers....lol

One of the joys of this summer has been that the mild winter and warm weather so far this year has meant there are a lot of bees and butterflies around. My buddleia is barely out, yet every day it is heaving with both - they will fly away when I try and photograph them though, still I managed to catch this one.

Flopsy - the vase of flowers is perfect. Started my day with a smile laugh Thank you!
Your bee on the lavender is lovely and so is your butterfly, Christina

Here he is again, in all his chubby glory, but with Tilly this time. Don't think I've posted Tilly before but she is another recent addition to the farmyard. She was caught as a kid and taken away but the people realised it's not ideal to have a kid in a town so they sent her back to our neighbours. When their dogs attacked her she then came over here and settled in nicely. You can see a spot on the left of her nose ... that's the last wound that is nearly cleared up.

Copago, what are you doing to that dog? Are you soaking him in water so he swells up? He seems to be doubling in size every week! laugh

Yes. Not to put too fine a point on it , he has a big bum!

It being July (yay a public holiday for me!). I shall shortly close this and open the New Monthly and the new Theme threads. Thanks all for the lovely June pics.
