Today, Mexico defeated Cameroon 1-0 in a game that should've finished 3-1 (goals were unfairly taken away). Yesterday, Brazil won 3-1 against Croatia, and refereeing was also bad.

Spain vs Netherlands is about to start right now. Which team are you rooting for in this World Cup? Who do you think will win? Will refs be a factor?

Unbelievable game. Casillas has been absolutely shocking. Spain... ripped apart.

Casillas looks to be finished at this level.

The best moment of Casillas' career is long gone, in my opinion. But wow, I think nobody expected today's score. I mean, 5-1 to the world champions!!

Chile is already 2-0 ahead of Australia just 14 minutes past the start of the game. Will we see another multi-goal victory?

Unfortunately, a larger Chilean victory looks highly likely. The Socceroos look completely outclassed :-(

But wait! 2-1, Go Timmy Cahill!!

Chile was overconfident and now the game looks interesting... Chile 2-1 Australia on half time.

At '82, it looks like the final score will be Chile 2-1 Australia.

So far, we've had 4 good games in the Brazil 2014 World Cup:

Brazil 3-1 Croatia
Although a wrongly given penalty in favor of Brazil affected the game and Japanese referee Nishimura, the game was a good one, Croatia played great, Brazil... not quite. However, it was a good one to kick off the Cup.

Mexico 1-0 Cameroon
As I said before, this game should've ended with 3 goals in favor of Mexico, as two were not given because of offsides that never existed. As a Mexican, I can say Mexico gave its best game in three years. And as for Cameroon, the team was very weak, easily defeated by Mexico. I do not see Cameroon at later stages, but Mexico could fight for a spot.

Spain 1-5 Netherlands
A rather surprising score for many (if not all). The World Champion was humilliated with mistakes from goalie Casillas and the Spanish defense. The Spanish goal was a penalty that, in my opinion, did not exist. Fortunately, it did not affect the final score. The Netherlands could achieve good results in this World Cup.

Chile 3-1 Australia
The first 15 minutes of the game were perfect for Chile, as they were already 2-0 ahead. However, overconfidence played against the South American team and Australia scored a goal. The game seemed dull from there, and the rest of it was quite boring. In aggregate, Chile scored the third goal and defined their victory.

Tomorrow, and for the rest of the World Cup, I will be giving live coverage of most games, as well as my opinion on them. Hopefully you'll enjoy it. smile

What do you think of the World Cup so far?

Surprised by the open play on view in all the games so far, totally different than the usual cagey defensive stuff we see at the start of a world cup. Hopefully this will continue...

In between baby crying I managed to see little bits of the Spain/Holland game and was surprised to see what was going on. Shame to see people pinning it on Casillas though, Spain did not cope with Holland at all on the night and no Goalkeeper would have changed that. Hope Del Bosque does not knee jerk and drop him.

Brazil had the upper hand over Croatia and deserved it, it's a shame that refereeing decisions had to overshadow it but nobody is going to remember that game by the end of the tournament anyway. Nice to see top strikers like Neymar and Van Persie performing well and hopefully vying for the golden boot.

England tonight

Yes, lots of goals so far. In South Africa 2010, a total of 5 goals were scored after 4 games. So far we've had 15!

The Spain-Holland score was quite a surprise to me as well. But from what we saw, Mexico could give a good fight to both Brazil and Croatia, and Croatia, playing well, could classify. And Chile could surprise the world and leave the World Champion out! You never know...

Colombia-Greece set to start in an hour and a half. Predictions on this one?

At half time, Uruguay beats Costa Rica 1-0 with a penalty (well given this time). However, there was also a penalty against Uruguay not sanctioned by the ref.

Seeing the scoreline of the Spain v Netherlands game shocked me! I figured Spain would win, or at least they'd tie...not Spain losing by four! They might want to get those blasted vuvuzelas out, but they better not, or Santa may slip coal to the lot of them come December.

I'd like to see the US get out of the group stage and make the round of 16, but I can't see that happening...unless tomorrow's game is really good.

Well, the US could really surprise everyone, we've already witnessed two surprises.
