A little further along on the walk to Jack's Point - looking back to South Beach and the port area.

I've never seen a pottery dunny but will investigate now. Does anyone know the full meaning of a dunny? I think it's in one of my toilet quizzes but being where we are someone's got to as well.

Mrs Blackbird (who isn't black) giving me the eye from the garden steps. "Don't you know I've got babies to feed? Jump to it, I need more nibbles/peanut/seeds/cheese/grapes/apple and I need it now!" Yesterday I was so slow fetching some more cheese that she followed me into the conservatory!

IT RAINED!!!
After missing out for about a year over the last couple weeks we have had nearly three inches. We were starting to get pretty desperate and while this hasn't solved all our problems it has gone a looooong way to help.

I've just sent this photo from the old closed bit of the railway in Tunbridge Wells in 2000 to someone there so will share it here as well. It reopened as a tourist line some years after.

I am having far more success with orchids, in spite of days and days of rain, than I ever have with #$%^& Photobucket!

Love your orchids, ren!

I was shooting arrows at the local archery club recently but missed the target on one shot. Despite the whole club searching thoroughly, we never managed to find my lost arrow until training last night. This is the sad remains of my poor projectile, looking quite chewed up and rather the worse for wear after being spat out by the municipal gardener's lawnmower, I'm afraid.

It doesn't make me feel any better about losing it, but on the plus side, I did like that peeled-paint texture which showed through in the photograph.

(sorry for the slightly blurred part in the middle, I wanted to hide my name tag)

"Boy" is getting all grown up, copago!!! Those arms look pretty muscled to me (& they'd need to be to draw open such a gigantic zipper)!

Jess looks hot (don't dare misread that, anyone) grin

I was overtaken by my own "boy" a couple of months ago, he now towers at least a foot over me, probably more (I'm short) *sigh*

The Maryland State Capitol building in Annapolis, Maryland (I'm here training for my new job I just started this past Monday and will be working in Virginia once complete). It was built somewhere between 1772 and 1779.

As someone whose hobby used to be raising Orchids until age caught up with me, I loved the photo of yours Ren, and Copago I figure Jess probably earnt that rest, she is a gorgeous looking dog, but then I always very partial to that breed.

My car, a Perodua Kenari (old Daihatsu Move), economical and reliable but would like something bigger for motorways. I have new wheel covers but haven't changed them yet.
