Just because I know I can't be the only one who's curious...

Are we playing to 20 new Immortals now, or is it still 30?

If the former, then the Intro/Rules text "The challenge will run until at least 30 players reach Division 10" should be revised.

In my opinion, after some evaluation, there's no reason to do any fewer than 30. The recent few rounds were not at all "less competitive" than the older ones, to the contrary: the number of sets needed to get our 30 Immortals is on a downward trend, meaning that our newly crowned Immortals score higher, on average, on each set than they did three or four years ago and a player who missed Immortal on GC26 or 27 by just a day or two would have been in back then.

(Just to be clear, I wasn't making an opinion on the matter one way or the other. I recalled Terry had said he was considering the change; I also recall you, Wesley, had previously 'argued' against the change. I only made the above post because I didn't recall hearing of a final decision one way or the other.)

Back to making my usual stupid mistakes, or not being able to remember the correct answer when faced with a choice of two!!

Hello. I just played the two games in the Global Challenge this a.m. and it shows that I did play two games but it did not record that I played the music category. It shows that I played the General category but not the music. I used the refresh button and it did not register. I tried playing the music category again and it said already played yet there were only 25 people that played that category at that time and my name and score does not register. Please help thank you.

Did you play the music category first and then graduate to the next level? If so, your score will be listed with the people on the previous level.

I am not sure but I don't think so because it didn't show my score after I submitted the music one. It took a long time to submit and then I tried again and it said you already played this quiz. I played the general one first.

I am going to check this afternoon as I am pretty sure I got all 15 correct at a good speed so will see if it comes under my teams global scores this afternoon but if not I am not sure what happened and don't recall advancing to a new level but like I mentioned I did not get a score and might have advanced as the quiz just said already submitted when I waited for two minutes to get a result and I might have advanced thn without it showing on my computer.

You can trick the system by briefly asking to be considered in the lower class and see if your alias is listed there. then return to your real class. If you wait past the deadline your score and that game result will disappear. You can then see under your team stats if your result was in a lower level. In the table for your team reading laft to right you'll see : Alias.... (class- expect to see a number 1 lower than your current class number) Class name.... results

The reason in 99.9% of the cases for not seeing your score posted at your current level is that it was scored in the lower level. This result will be displayed for 12 hours in the Team Stats area.

Thanks everyone. I have been having trouble with my computer but only on the site so it looks like I did get it at the lower level but when it timed out it must have advanced to the next set without that big red writing telling me. I don't know why I didn't think of looking at my results. I have only been on the site for 7 years LOL. Having a senior moment:) Thanks again.

You're welcome. And, I don't think all the "You Graduated" announcements are accentuated. I don't think there's a big deal made when you do it from the Brain Twists. It's there but looks like the rest of the bottom of the page. Also graduation from the first level doesn't come with an announcement of extra points earned because they aren't at that stage.

I don't think I'm doing anything differently this time, but I am closer to getting into the top ten of the HC group than I have ever been before, hovering at 11-12 out, and may actually be in the top ten right now when the list updates. This is so much fun. No matter whether I make it or miss it yet again, the GC is one of my favorite things on FT.

Looks like it won't be much longer now. I've really enjoyed this GC. I'll bet it wraps up in the next couple of days.

There goes my difficult challenge for today. Score 13000 plus points. Impossible to complete if we are only to get one set today
