I have a playlist on Spotify that I made for people who need positive songs when they are down instead of all the sad lists I saw. It's called Always Keep Fighting: Anti-Depression playlist. The Always Keep Fighting part is from the campaign started by TV star Jared Padalecki to bring awareness to mental illness, the second part was added after someone at Spotify suggested that there are people who don't know about AKF and need the playlist too, so that way, anyone who types 'depression' in the search will come up with my list. I have been working on this list for almost four years now, it has 713 songs, but it needs more. I want it to have every genre possible, and while I constantly search for new songs, they are usually in genres that I enjoy and I want people to be able to find songs that they can make into playists for themselves. So if anyone has any suggestions I am open to them. Remember positive and upbeat are not always the same thing, for example Jared Padalecki added Just Breathe by Pearl Jam, that one fits, Jensen Ackles added Your Love by The Outfield, and even though that is an awesome song, it is about cheating, I did have to add it to the list though, as I promised the Supernatural fandom I would.

Everyday Sunshine by Fishbone.

I'll add some more later as I think of them.

By the way, what a great idea. Hope this can help those who need it.

"The Mary Ellen Carter" from Stan Rogers, or any of the many cover versions.

This song is famous for having saved a life - a shipwrecked seaman kept himself awake through the night singing it as hard as he could, and he managed to still be afloat in the morning when rescuers came.

Here's some really old stuff: Not really listing artists because there are hundreds of versions of most of these.

"Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive"
"Pack up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag"
"Side by Side"
"Blue Skies"

"There's a Bluebird on Your Windowsill" Wilf Carter
"Keep on the Sunny Side" Carter Family
----------------
And a few more less ancient ones....

"I Can See Clearly Now" Johnny Nash or there is a really nice version from Holy Cole
"The Cape" Guy Clark

There's a whole genre of "I'm putting this town/job/relationship in the rear view mirror and moving on to something better" songs. Are you interested in that kind of thing?
