I need a time machine. Let's all pretend it's yesterday and I might get away with being late... wink

If anyone would like a miserable shot of typical grotty London this is a retail park in Highams Park. We have a lot of places like this around the edge of towns.

In contrast to Satguru's 'grotty' London...

This is a distant view of the fantastic 3 mile long sandy beach at Woolacombe in North Devon from the tiny hamlet of Mortehoe. Woolacombe's beach regularly ranks as the very best beach in the British Isles and was recently voted the fourth best in all of Europe.

However, the feather in the cap for the tiny village came in 2015 when the beach was ranked 13th in the world by users of Trip Advisor beating a number of beaches in more exotic locations such as Turkey, Florida and Australia.

It's got a lot of grotty parts but I wouldn't live anywhere else. This is the edge of Epping Forest.

An unusual sign (for Britain anyway) in Edmonton.

They are building tower blocks non stop in Colindale. I can see all the cranes at night from upstairs.

'Bertie'

Bertie is the latest addition to the family; a 14 week old British Blue shorthair and he is a very, very mischievous little rascal!

Oh, a lovely cat! And exactly like the one opposite although bluer so Sue can see what I meant.

Epping Forest in Chingford. It stretches many miles on the border of London and Essex.

This is a corn snake that belongs to a friend of mine. It's not the best image but it proved difficult to get a good macro shot of a very active snake!

Not so balmy on the English Riviera with the arrival of 'The Beast from the East'.
