Mine would have to be the day England beat Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup groups game. What's everyone elses favourite memories of the year?

My best memory was seeing my son all dressed up for his year 11 ball. I took him to one of his friend's place where a group of them were going in a limo to the ball.
And knowing with all the ups and downs his father and I have had (we are seperated now) he and his younger brother are very thoughtful, caring young men.

When I go my first job working at a daycare with 2 year olds. The fun thing about my job is the kids and it only takes me only 2 minutes to get there!

Going home to California after three and a half years or so...getting to see a new nephew and then, almost all my cousins whom I hadn't seen in about 26 years and then, a junior high school girlfriend I'd been trying to locate for 26 years! What a kick. At least I think that was last year...

Ok, so I qualified in 2001 (finally after years of studying and training) as a solicitor, but 2002 was the year when that elusive job became permanent. Oh yes. Only took decades of time and thousands of pounds worth of debt.

Becoming a great grandfather for the first time would have to be the highlight of my year.

Not that a lot of other super fantastic things didn't happen last year, but if I had to pick one it would be going to the Elvis costello concert last year nad meeting him after the show. Indeed....

The best things that happened to me in 2002 were joining FT (although sadly I have been away for a few months) and my new Toyota!

Well, let's see. I grew closer to God and my cousin Brandi. (And if you knew Brandi you would laugh at how unbalanced that sentence is.) But other than that my year was so bad I almost wish I could forget it. Uh oh. I hope I didn't bring anyone down. I'm determined to make this year MUCH better.

Conor, we take that for granted - he is just gorgeous!

Apart from that, probably my daughter's long-term partner graduating as a doctor. That seriously affects her so as it was wonderful news for her, it was also for me.
