I am now compressing ALL data sent from FunTrivia, which should reduce download times for anyone using newer browsers by 50% or more.

Does FunTrivia seem faster for any of you now? You'd be most likely to notice it on slower modem connections.

I have ADSL, but it is faster, Terry. Makes the FT experience all that much more enjoyable. Thanks. One thing, although I've specified that I don't want it seen what thread I'm in, it still shows! No biggie........Gawd! Am I "hijacking"?

I'm on a broadband connection and right now the site is running very fast. How long have you been compressing the data?

Oh, about 15 minutes now
I'm getting about 50-80% data compression sitewide. The homepage is normally 13K, now it's sending it at about 5K. That should hopefully both speed things up for you folks and halve my bandwidth costs!

Faster for me too so far --- I think my computer was in "slow-mo" this morning --- much faster right now anyway.

Now that you mention it, Terry, it does seem faster!

Thanks, as always, for your continuing improvements.

Yes it is faster for me, but I'm not sure if it's from your ajustment or mine!
At the same time the forums were being upgraded I ticked "no" in preferences for viewing pictures and signatures because my loading was super slow.
I'll put the pics and tags back and see how things run.
