Don't panic - it appears that Terry is playing but if you just tried to log in with lots of silly messages you will find now that things are okay.

However, you may need to login afresh in Quizzyland.

It all ought to be running smoothly now. I've made all sorts of changes that will hopefully speed things up too.

Still likely to be a few things out of place given the scope of the changes.

Just had the scare of my life. Thought the quiz database had eaten itself. But it didn't.

How's the hair on your head?
It's easier pulling the whole lot out in one go

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to encourage quizmakers to keep a copy of their quizzes on a CD or diskette. I'm sure you have some kind of backup routine and all that, but just in case something catastrophic would happen.

Terry- do you have backup software? At my work, I'd lose my head sometimes if we didn't have Retrospect.

Right now, I'm getting invalid URL whenever I try to get to any quizzes. Anyone else similarly snafu?

Oh yes, FT is backed up often. It would just be a major pain in the neck to restore.

ertrum: still tweaking. Adding more memory to the server tonight, so it'll go offline for a while.

They still wriggle. I'm unable to read any quizzes except hourly or daily. All others get invalid url's. I've tried from two different systems, one a PC running XP and IE, the other a linux system running firefox.

My hands are trembling, mouth is dry, eyeballs are starting to dilate. In other words, I'm having serious FT withdrawals. Heeeelp!

Hmmm. It looks like the problem is, at least in part, due to our http proxy server here, since I can get to FT from home.
