When my friend told me about this the other night, I waited for the punchline. I really thought it was a joke. Not that I don't feel sorry for the poor man who was shot, I do. But, it just screams make silly joke here doesn't it?
On a serious note, I think that Cheney should be held to the same standards as anyone else in a matter like this one. Whether or not that will happen is up in the air.
On another side note, I'm very disappointed with how certain liberals are handling this news. Yes, he was hunting without a license and somebody was shot, that's bad enough. Yes, it was handled badly. But, some of the more rabid liberal talk-show hosts are acting like the man launched a nuclear weapon on China.
I have no intentions of turning this into an us vs them debate, so if my comment ends up sending the thread in that direction, I will happily remove it or allow the moderators to do so. It's not my intention.
