It's been a while but my weight is still sliding on the downward scale! With a few hiccups, I am now Eight Stone Five Pounds . I am really pleased. Mum has also done well, and lost some weight over the last year too. We're going on holiday in nine weeks so we've got to keep going, so we can pig out!

Do you mind if I join in. If I have something where I have to say what I am then I may get some motivation back.

I'll have to post my weight in Kilos as it's too complicated to put it in pounds.

My weight the last time I was weighed was 123.

My goal for now is to get back to double digits.

So can I join in?

I'm not sure if anyone is still using this thread but when I weighed myself at the gym today I was down to 120kg.

I've revised my goals aswell. My long term one is to get back to double figures but my short term goal is to lose 10% of my current weight.

This would put me down at 108 kg.

I'll cheer you on then! Short term goals are better anyway, you can get them in your sights more easily. Good luck to you.

Jane I am so proud of you, losing weight is one thing but you have consistently kept it off and that is so much harder. Congratulations.

Been a few weeks since my last update, but I am now Eight Stone Four Pounds (116 pounds) It's the lowest I have been for a VERY long time. I'm not purposely trying to lose weight any more, but am pleased when a pound or two slips off. Considering nearly five years ago, I was nearly five stone heavier, I couldn't be happier

My updates will only be done monthly as that is how often the gym I attend does them.

The 3 kilos I lost I put down to the government. I have to do a program called Work for the Dole as I'm currently unemployed and to get to where it is I have to walk about 20 minutes from the train station, and given that I haven't been to the gym much - (I've had some personal issues) this is really the only excercise I'm doing.

It did take me 3 months to lose the 3 kilos but hopefully it won't take me as long to lose the next 3 as I plan to start going back to the gym now that the issues don't really exist anymore.

Good going Jane.

Good for you, littlesuzie , and slow and steady is the best way to go. Jane, that's wonderful and you show far more discipline than I could! I have, thankfully, never had to diet. I am not saying that as *bragging* or anything like that, just blessed with a good metabolism. If I had to diet, I don't know that I could persevere the way you have. Yay for you!

I don't really diet. I mainly just do the excercise side of things. The diet I do have is imposed on me by not having enough money to buy all the "yummy" stuff.

I need to get a scale, but I noticed in 2 months, I've dropped 2 jeans sizes. I also bought a pair of jeans I'd like to get into for motivation.

I've got a pair of them lying around somewhere. They used to fit, I want to get back into them. Their a style I like that I don't seem to be able to get anymore.

I use the scale at the gym. My scale would be useless at the moment as it doesn't go as high as my weight - it's also too hard to read it an analog one.

I just got weighed at the gym today and I've lost 1.9 Kilo's this month. I've gone to the gym about once a week. I hope to go more. I need more time though. I'm starting a course on Monday (a night course), am hoping to start another course in August (it depends on numbers as to whether it runs or not) and have just got a job as a relief childcare worker.

I'm still walking everywhere as Dad's car isn't working.

I'm now 118.1. I decided to make my goal to be to lose 2 kilos by next month but I'll probably lose more due to everything I'm doing.

What I really need to do now though is get the eating side of things under control.

What weight do you want to get to Jane?

I'm guessing you're either up to the maintenance stage of weight loss or have hit a plateau.

It is maintenance isn't it Jane, and very well maintained at that. Five stone loss is amazing, I am in awe of your achievement.

At the moment I'm maintaining, maybe losing a pound, maybe staying the same for four or five weeks, and very rarely allowing a pound or two creep on. I'm happy at my weight. If I ever do get down to a nice "round" eight stone, I would be in seventh heaven. I'm happy at the weight I am at the moment too.

Still no scale, I'd for get my head if it weren't attached, but my newest jeans fit! I haven't been in this size in at least 4 years. Bought one size smaller, just in case

Good for you and the maintaining, Jane.
Rayven, that's fantastic and you must feel great about it!

I though you were at the maintenance stage Jane. Your doing really well it's been a fair few weeks that you've been at the same weight.

I'm sure you'd be able to get down to the eight stone with out too much trouble.

That's really good rayven. I tried on my smaller jeans last night and they almost fit but not quite. They fit better than last time I tried them on though. I know that the clothes I have got fit better (I'm still wearing the same one's though as I currently don't have the money to go and get anything new.)

It's been a while since my last recording of how I am doing With a absoilutely wonderful five day break, I only put five pounds on. And seriously, I do mean only, I could have done a lot more damage This week I lost three pounds of the five pounds making me Eight Stone Six pounds .

That's really good Jane.

I'm down to 110 kilos. That's 8 kilos in about 2 months. I think most of it is because I've been sick and lost my appetite for a while.

I'm hoping to keep the weight off and I'm going to start going to the gym more to help keep it off.

I just tried on the jeans I want to get back into again. They fit around the bottom area but I could only do up the bottom button (the fly is a button up fly with 4 buttons.)

I can actually get into the size they are just not them. I've been wearing a pair of tracksuit pants for the past few days which are the same size. Being tracksuit pants though they have more give than jeans I guess but it shouldn't be too long until I can get into the jeans.
