With much fear and trepadation, and as this year ends itself, let's do this again. I think it's been a couple of years since the last one. We are all such a spectacular bunch (face it ~ we all matter bunches ) but the question here is who is "The FT Forums Person of the Year" for 2006. The one who made you look twice, the one who made you feel safe, the one who made you feel (maybe) as smart as they were for a minute. There's lots of us to name, new and tested (and we all matter in so many big ways). Pick someone and we'll maybe name Sue again ~ and there's nothing wrong with saying so! Don't fret that, though - Sue is our glue and deserves all praise, so deserves all/any votes, this year or any other. Just pick a person who, in your opinion, matters. I (or we) will rustle up votes as we go.

I nominate: Sue943, of course, but also Gtho4. That guy is just an amazing one!

Nominate away! I'll likely nominate more of you later . If nobody beats me to it, that is...

I nominate Gatsby and gtho4, the former really needs little explanation as to why he ought to be be nominated, then our George as puts SO many hours into this site, I dread to think what his long suffering wife must think of FT.

I've got three, although each and every one of you are friends of mine! In no particular order is (1) Terry (for making Funtrivia in the first place), (2) Sue943 (for running the forums, with others, so well!) and (3) Gatsby (just because he is such a wonderful poster. Every post Gats makes is significant )

I'd nominate ElfTwinkle, just because she has the time to run about 15 tipping comps, and is able to get results up quickly. She also catches errors well.

Oh! I just thought of another one: Downscope! He's not rampant here in the Forums but we all know him from the blogs. He's an awesome one and has, I think, gotten everybody involved and interested in the site. So I gotta highlight him for now (but don't tell him ~ he'd uncharacteristally blush or something...)

I'll nominate a few new names assuming we're gathering people and then running a poll like the last one: I could literally add about 50 plus but have to narrow it down obviously.

Ktstew for her personal support as well as continual contributions here.

Janemarple for cheering everyone up and setting us all a wonderful example.

and finally (I think 3 is about right...) IndieQueen who seems to hover above every dubious entry 24/7 as soon as it's been made as well as work, study and post all sorts of entertaining entries. That shows some serious dedication. And on a personal note a good boss means good staff and she's one of the best!

I of course, will nominate Sue for the lovely sweets i received in my post Seriously though, Sue does so much for the site. Though i'm not familiar with all of you 'regulars', i must say Copago deserves a mention, she seems to be everywhere on these forums

Right then, I see you got the bribe, Nic?

I'm going to say Sue and Gtho as well - more helpful people you'll never meet. And Gats for being the voice of reason at all times.

There are so many who deserve the award it's hard to choose a top 3 or 4. Any of those who post regularly month after month year after year could be candidates. Admin who run the forum are natural choices but the forum would be nothing without the many other valuable members who Admin presides over.

So, please let me decline to vote. I only wrote this so that 'no comment' wouldn't appear as disinterest.

I will have to nominate Sue and Gatsby as they have helped me the most on Funtrivia. There are just too many to choose from!
