Indoor walls,outdoor walls,garden walls,concrete walls,stone walls or wailing walls.

Post your best wall photo if you like but remember you can only post one photo here, only one chance at photographic fame so better make it a good one! If you don`t have a photo of a wall build one and take a snap!

This photo was taken last December in a small town near Düsseldorf, Germany. The wall was built around the 14th century.

The lock walls at Miraflores Locks, Panama Canal. This was taken during the annual Ocean-to-Ocean cayuco race. A ton of work and a lot of fun.

Here is a wall of police shoulder patches. This is a display on the wall of the office I retired from. I don't collect them myself this was a collection on loan from a policeman who did.

To go with my posting of Roman re-enactors in photo-a-day, I thought I'd post this old image of Hadrian's Wall, built nearly 2,000 years ago.
The wall spanned northern England, and marked the northernmost boundary of the Roman empire. Much of it still stands today, and the surrounding countryside has changed very little.

I took this picture last June at Simatai, north of Beijing. Yes, it's that wall.

It's a little hard to see at this image size, but the wall meanders to the right and off into the distance.

What a wonderfully varied lot of pictures!

This is part of the wall of the covered lower promenade at Hastings (it’s open to the sea on the other side). For obvious reasons, it’s known as Bottle Alley.

An alleyway leading up from the river to the main downtown street of Belleville, showing the wall of one of the older buildings in the city.

This is great - the variety is wonderful.

When is a wall not a wall? When it falls down. This was the old convent in Wilcannia. The wall fell out about 2am about 4 months ago - the only person in it at the time was sleeping up the other end of the place. It was built in the 1880s and they reckon an inferior mortar was used plus not much maintainance lately caused it to fall. High excitement for a sleepy little town. No word yet on what is going to happen with it - if the have to demolish the whole building or be able to somehow fix it.

Oh dear, Jill, that looks a bit drastic! I am glad no one was under it.
This wall is the side wall of an oldish house in our village. However , more interesting, is the little low one at the side, that runs alongside the nullah, presumably to keep the water from overflowing into the houses.

I love all the walls. This is a wall of oleander bushes at the RV park where we are camped for this weekend in Yuma, Arizona. (Where the temperature is over 100 degree F. every day!)
