I think I've seen everything now. Anybody feel like buying me a bit of embroidered toilet paper for Christmas?

Looks like you have to make your own.... drop the hint, you never know what the crafters might give you for Christmas!

I honestly cannot see why anybody would want to have embroidered loo-roll, let alone go to the bother of making it, or worse still, buying some! I guess it takes all tastes to make for an interesting world.

Very amusing, I had to call in my girls (who love crafts) to see that. One of the silliest ideas I've ever seen.. if one wants embroidery for show in the bathroom there are always towels and such! Thanks for the laugh though;)

The Flamingo with the umbrella is cute! I guess you could use the pattern for towels, or hankies, or anything sensible!

I fail utterly to understand why anyone would go to the trouble of doing this, knowing that his or handiwork would simply be flushed away.

Then again, it occurs to me that the friends/relatives of the sort of people who might do this might themselves enjoy displaying the results in their bathrooms, as a "decorative accent."

I knew one person who gave her significant other a 'belly button brush' for a gift.

Well, I printed out the instructions and you can all eagerly look forward to a roll for the holidays from me! Ooops, the only person's address I have is Sue's. I guess she will just have to post back here and tell you all how special she feels when she receives my package. I will start work on it as soon as I finish the dining room ceiling out of egg shells and recycled dog hair. That is a Martha Stewart special project!

Obviously some one has too much time on her hands! That person needs to get out and do something constructive and meaningful for mankind and embroidered bathroom paper ain't it!

OW! I haven't stopped squeezing my butt cheeks tight (which makes me a little too tall for the keyboard--but that's a different story) since I took a good look at the sample roll and noticed a moose, or something with big, sharp antlers, embossed on it.

By using this, places could save a bundle of money for rest room direction signs. Just tell people to follow the screams.

I love embroidery, and I enjoy doing projects with a bit of a challenge .... but that takes the biscuit I don't think I'll be doing them as Christmas presents!!

Wouldn't that be a bit rough on the bits? Antlers? Isn't there something more appropriate to have on TP?

Ooooh. Hang on. If we're looking to "Posh Up" the loo a bit, how about embroidering the family crest on the sacred paper? That would look schmick. I'm off to break out the sewing machine ...!

Seriously - I'm afraid I don't have enough time on my hands to embroider toilet paper. Who does (other than these people, obviously)?
That, and I don't need a holiday in a psych ward!

I'm sure cubby would find something useful for me to do if he found me embroidering toilet paper. You know, like volunteering to pick the bits out of the neighbour's kitty litter tray, or counting each blade of grass in our yard and then hand-paining them all the exact same shade of green.

That, or start hiding the sharp objects...

If you were my wife, and started embroidering toilet paper - I would have you committed!

I never cease to be amazed at the lengths to which some SNOBBISH people will go, to be "better" than thier neighbours ........

Delboy, I agree wholeheartedly with your post.

Please, please, please - If I let you know that I've started embroidering the TP, send the men in white coats for me. I know that I have issues, but I hope never to get to that point.

I just wish that if people had that much time on their hands they would do something to help others, rather than embroidering the date roll.

If I had one of those super-dooper embroidering computer operated sewing machines I would be sorely tempted just for the fun of it.

I think one only embroiders one sheet and you really wouldn't wipe yourself on that one, would you? I wouldn't anyway.

Now stop me someone, I really don't need one of those machines, I really don't.

It looks as if it is done with a "hand held" embroidery machine, battery operated. I used one about fifteen years ago - and with someone with limited hand-eye co-ordination, no the easiest thing to use!

I thought it was a computerised larger machine, you feed in the programme and it does it itself. The model shown is the BROTHER embroidery machine. PE-1800 which looks to be quite large. If it doesn't dance by itself I don't want one.

If I were to somehow acquire one, I might be tempted to do some matching embroidery.

I'm thinking about choosing a design, then embroidering it onto my delicate female underthings as well as the loo paper.

Wouldnt' that be posh!!!!

Now in days gone by 'ladies maids' would have done the embroidering on under-garments for the well heeled, but with my luck I would be the person doing the sewing.

I scanned the instructions for embroidering toilet paper. It would seem that the toilet paper is far more delicate that my delicate underthings.

Actually, if you were to replace the word 'delicate' with 'sturdy', you may have a better picture of my underthings!

Hey, they may not be romantic, but in my line of work, practicality counts!

Yes you do Sue -- I have one. We could have a race to see who could get the loo paper done first! Hmm, maybe a trade -- some loo paper for a paper card?

Jar, are you on my Christmas card list, if not send me a PM with your name and address.

Sames goes for anyone else who wants a card from me. I am trying to get myself organised and have addresses without the FT names to go with them. In fact I suspect that a few people who don't know me from Adam will get Christmas cards, like the people who have bought from me on ebay!

Anyone who had a card from me before, or Marmite, I should have your address. The only Texas address I have is for Nightmare.
