I had to go out this evening, just before 5 o'clock, and the moon was already quite bright although it wasn't quite dusk yet.

This is one of my "embellishment" cards, you can find so many bits and pieces to stick onto cards.

Another go at views, I suspect however high the definition digital cameras can't yet capture the detail of film.

This is Wembley from Barn Hill

We passed by Wembley today on our way to Kensington and Shepherds Bush. this is the 'Time Flies' clock, erected in 1909, in Kensington Palace Gardens.

Been playing with available light shots of the snow in my back yard, around eleven o'clock at night. I snagged these two lumps of wood from the chaps who were tree cutting the other day, thinking my brother-in-law might be able to make use of them for his wood carving. Turns out it's the wrong type of wood, so I'll have to figure out what to use them for. (Any suggestions?)

Our Housing estates are not the loveliest, but they try hard to brighten things up at Christmas.

This is my last of the "Christmas crafts" to show (but I am sure there will be more, as next month approaches ). This is another decoupage card

Very nice card Jane.

I have a nice little evergreen in my front yard. We planted it years ago after my daughter brought home the seedling from an Earth Day celebration. It's gotten big enough to decorate for Christmas now.

What a pretty little tree, Argus!

Digging back in the archives a bit...

I took this photo when my husband and I were honeymooning on St. John in 2005. This is a sugar mill ruin near our resort. I loved the tiny little tree growing out of the top.

I think this Georgian house has been tastefully restored, in spite of the modern colour. The palm in front gives an excellent Colonial style appearance.

Looking through photos of animals that are not pets for the thread, I found this depressed looking sheep. I thought I would give her her 15 minutes of fame. She has a pensive air. Rather a look of Dolly, I feel.

Aww, poor pensive sheep. She's rather sweet.

Here's a leaf, trapped in the semi-melted snow on my deck.

I missed the bridge theme photo thread as I could not find where I had saved my photos. Found them today so will post this one here.

Birchenough Bridge over the Save River in Zimbabwe. (Pronounced Save' ) This bridge was built by the British in the 1930's and at one time, was the second largest suspension bridge in the world. It is a precise replica of Australia's Sydney harbor bridge.

Maybe she's just 'wool-gathering'

This tree downtown has sparkly lights on it for Christmas, but it looked a bit forlorn on a dull and rainy afternoon. I was waiting for the half past three bus, and already it was dark enough for the lights to show up clearly. Snow would be more cheerful!

We have been a way for the weekend and I took my camera, this is the Clutha River and the beginging of the Roxbourgh Dam in Cental Otago. The river is starting to widen here but it doesn't get much wider as it stays within the gorge. the climate here is very dry and there are lots of orchards growing apples, cherrys, peaches etc. but a bit early in the season yet to buy any.
