Since I now know that there are other comic strip fans out there, I'm hoping that someone here reads one of my all-time favorite strips - "Get Fuzzy." I'd love to have someone to talk to about it.

Here's a bit about the strip:

quote:
Get Fuzzy by Darby Conley, is a wry portrait of single life, with pets. At the center of this warm and fuzzy romp is Rob Wilco, a single, mild-mannered ad executive and guardian of Bucky and Satchel, anthropomorphic scamps that still live by their animal instincts. Bucky is a temperamental cat (is there any other kind?) who clearly wears the pants in this eccentric household. Satchel is a gentle pooch with a sensitive soul who tries to remain neutral, but frequently ends up on the receiving end of Bucky's mischief. Together, this unlikely trio endures all the trials and tribulations of a typical family... more or less.

and, a link to the strip: Get Fuzzy - THE STRIP!

It's quite often funny - I'm always laughing at Bucky and Sachel (and, poor Rob!). But, I have to admit that his September 11 reference strips actually touched me.

I've only been reading it infrequently for the last couple of months (whenever I happen to pick up the Toronto Star from school cuz it's free!). The Kingston Whig-Standard didn't carry it, so I'd never heard of it before.

But now that I know the site, I'll probably keep up with it.

I just read the last month. Heheh! I can't tell which character I like best... it seems to depend on the strip.

I REALLY liked when they went watch-shopping and Bucky was in that baby carrier thingy with just the tips of his paws poking out. ROTFL!

LOL! He's in a baby carrier when Rob carries him. And, a carseat when they are in the car. Oh, and he has a booster chair when they eat out. (Shhhhh...but don't say that too loudly....Rob and Satchel have to call it a throne in order for Bucky to not take offense.)

You HAVE to get the book! It's great! And, it has a great account of when Bucky put hair remover in Rob's shampoo bottle. Took FOREVER for Rob's hair to grow out!

Have you read today's strip (12/11)? "Famous Cat Quotes - 'Friends, Romans, Countrymen, Leave Me Alone'" I love it!

Bringing this up, because there've been some really funny ones the past couple of weeks. Has anyone else been looking at them?!

Oh i love Bucky. I've been trying to find out if they have a stuffed Bucky to purchase, but alas no luck. For Christmas I received a "Get Fuzzy" book and have been enjoying that.

Today's "Buckyism" would make an interesting signature line!

"I disagree with what you say and I will deny, to your death, your right to say it."

By the by, Bucky's a Siamese cat.

I also think Conley's signature "darb" in a little box is pretty cool!
