I'll agree with the CD too, Slew. Quite an artistic shot for an accident

Copago - Yes, of course you are both right. Not very difficult to guess. Truth be told, I just wanted an excuse to post my 'artistic' mishap. The cd was on a glass table with the sun reflecting.

I looks like it might be the back side of a ski lift.

Knowing where you live, mate, I will say that it is the start of a dam on Lake Eyre!

Ok I should point out they don't use it anymore and you didn't want to be anywhere near it when they did.

Entrance to a bomb shelter? There used to be one not far from my mother in law's place that kinda looked like that.

That's a good guess picqero as the Bloodhound SAM was tested at Woomera.

I was going to suggest an entrance to a mine shaft, also; and it looks like it might be under construction.

Is it sandstaone, Q?

Picqero got it.
Its one of the old rocket launch sites on the "range" near Woomera. It's about five stories high actually. Doesnt look it. Rocket sits on top and the area below leads down into a gully for the blast to run into. On one side is Lake Hart a salt lake and in the distance you can see old impact marks for things that didn't go quite right.

If it is OK to jump in, here is something much less dangerous.

I'd agree with minkpenny, that certainly looks like a chair or bench to me.

I think it's a chair but can't make up my mind whether it's the back or the seat. Probably the back because of the wide spacings and the bindings. There might be alot of uncomfortable shifting around if it was the seat .

Legs of a wooden/wicker style table/chair (as I am noticing a wooden floor on which the item is sitting).

My dad built chairs for everyone in the neighborhood, and they looked like that. Not always shiny, though.

All of you who guessed "chair" are correct. Specifically, it is the front left corner of the seat of this chair . I took photos of both the back and the seat, and you had me going to recall which was which, but in the end remembered the order in which I took the shots. Also, the only corresponding part of the back has a downward piece that doesn't reach the cross-piece. Comfy the chair isn't, but it's only meant for sitting on to take off your shoes before going to Pilates or yoga class
