A windscreen wiper pulled away from the screen as you would to clean the windscreen.

Firstly, I thought of a dolphin but I don't see them every day, so I'm going with snail - but there again, I'd be hard pushed to find one three storeys up....

It could even represent a person sticking their hand out to halt the approaching bus ! What a wonderfully adaptable piece of art!

Yes, at first I thought snail or nautilus because of that chamber-like thing at the bottom, but now I'm thinking maybe some kind of plant bulb or seed sending a shoot up to the skies.

Well, when I first saw it, my first thought was a kangaroo too. Then I thought maybe a nautilus (because of the bit at the bottom) or a whale or dolphin (because Mandurah is well known for the dolphins in the estuary).

However, Verbonica gets the kudos as she is closest - it's a tree. Specifically a tuart tree - to represent all the tuart trees that were cut down to build the bus/train station. The bit sticking out near the top (on the right hand side) is actually two leaves.

Now you can see why it's controversial.

All I can say is that you have some pretty weird trees down under.

I thought it was obviously a tuart tree but didn't like to say.

I'm telling you, tw, you and are amazing, no? I was going to say that too and then just went with the oil can because the tuart tree was just so easy to see. I wanted to give others a chance.

This might be an easy one, but here goes anyway. What is it?

Okay, here's where I show how abstract my thinking is! The back of a human head (hopefully a female's ) with brown hair and a black ribbon/tails of a bow, hanging down. You may now all 'hoot laughter' to yourselves. Sandy

Ok, 24 hours has passed...perhaps my Photo-A-Day was too big of hint! Kudos to TW, Sue, and ClaraSue. (And nice try, Sandy!)

It's Wizard, a young stallion out at the barn where I ride. He's such a flirt.

This mightn't be too difficult, but as we haven't had one for awhile, here goes. Can you identify the black object in the foreground of the photo?

I agree there - very much like a sliding door handle

That's a bit over the 24 hours, and jordandog has the correct answer. The handle is mostly hidden by my hand in this photo, but you can see the whole contraption.

(Apologies for posting a photo of meself, but it was the best I had for the purpose.)

[Edited to replace photo of myself, thus relieving me of the feeling of 'guilt' for breaking the rules ( ), with one that actually shows the handle from the first photo.]
