Some of the clues in this one are messed up. It looks fine in the edit mode.

Can anyone help?

I think you have to click save on the page of crossword creation containing the field for your introductory blurb.

I think that does the trick.

I did the puzzle. I did not see anything amiss in the definitions. Everything looked good.

When I looked at it, the numbers were weird, with lower numbers being lower in the puzzle than some of the higher numbers.
This is a new glitch that I haven't seen before.

It happened on one of my crosswords. I remember that clicking on the save button that is actually on the crossword creation template - after it was put online - is what caused it. It was rectified by the way I explained above, but, it doesn't fancy helping Stu out

Well, I tried changing it slightly and saving my changes. No effect:(

Perhaps I was tempting fate with such a bizarre topic!

I played it and it seemed just fine. In fact, that was a great crossword puzzle there! Kudos!

I think there is some glitch at work here. I had a message some days ago to say I had the same clue for 2 different numbers on one of mine. I went into edit, corrected it and it seemed fine when I accessed it as if I was going to play. However, after reading this thread, I've just checked back and, once again, I have the same clue for 2 and 3 down - not what was there originally and making the crossowrd impossible to complete. I'll see if this thread produces a result but otherwise, I'm thinking of contacting a crossword editor to alert them.

Crossword editors read these threads! Unfortunately we don't have the ability to change some of these glitches - only Terry can do that.

Sorry - I realised after I'd posted that you had too! I know you can't sort glitches - I wondered if it was me as I'm new to compiling crosswords - apparently not

That crossword seems fine, Stu.

Does it still look messed up to you?

If so, in what way *specifically*?

I have the very same problem with my newest crossword. http://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=1529

All the numbering of the clues are messed up, but it looks fine in the edit page. And players complain that sometimes there are 2 clues for an answer and no clue at all for some others.

Looks like a good crossword, mate - but you're right about it being inexorably hosed just now.

My earlier one had resolved itself then I had exactly the same problem again yesterday with my last crossword. It's apparently a glitch that just happens from time to time. I'm just glad it isn't only me!

Sorry to raise this again - I thought it had been fixed but seems not. I had a correction notice today for one of my crosswords to say that the clues and numbers don't match. Any chance this could be looked at soonish please? Thanks in anticipation.

I have had the same issues on a few puzzles. This is the latest one.

http://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=1779

Puzzle numbers are out of order and some clues are listed several times. Editors are working on it and last time and Admin had to fix it. Hope they get it fixed soon.

Hey Stu what's up?

We've passed this on to Terry, so it's out of our hands. Please be patient until he can figure out how to fix it.

Thanks

Sorry to raise this yet again but I've had another correction notice (from the same person) for the same cross word and have tried to edit it - all looks fine in edit mode. I've sent it on to an editor but wanted to flag it up as it's still happening. I've had it happen a few times when I've tried to play other people's crosswords too.

Mink: I'm not sure which crossword you are talking about.

I looked at both of the ones you have online and they look fine.

I've placed your puzzle back online and took a look at it. All three of your puzzles look fine - no numbering issues. I'm not sure what the problem was, but if you receive any more notes please refer him to me.

Thanks for both replies - it was the Wildlife Collection one and it's always looked fine to me too! Fingers crossed and I'll forward any further messages to you SilverMoonSong - maybe we can catch it red-handed if it happens again.
