One thing I knew would be inevitable...but not figuring to see it in May.

Yes, that says 100°F...I saw it hit 101°F a couple of times as well. It was officially 99°F today, about 20 miles south of where I was at the time of the picture.

Looks like it's hot all over...our temp was 103 F today! Supposed to be 77 by Wednesday, though.

We are in the 80's I suppose (I am used to Celsius now)
It won't be nice if it gets hot in the earthquake area.

We had about 60F today, if that. We had summer already last week and that may be it.

This is the pond (one of a few) in the Isabella Plantation right in the middle of Richmond Park.

My sister and brother-in-law got a new table for their deck, so I got their old one! Here's Katt, checking it out...

This mural is across the street from the alligator that I posted yesterday. Photo taken in Bossier City, Louisiana.

This is not a scenic shot, but one of the YMCA in Kingston where I've been going to the gym since 2002 as well as many other activities. It's also where I met our member Chris1013 a couple of years ago. The gym is the first room you see.

Great bird, TW - looks like a fledgling?

I have FINALLY identified this bush from my side yard - pineapple guava. Great blooms, and I will have to look for the fruit later in the summer.

I recently had a pleasant day with my daughter and grand-daughter at a local wildlife park, so prepare to be bombarded with piccies of Australia wildlife.

This is a jabiru, the only stork that is native Down Under. By the way, he is sitting down- his feet are not THAT long!

I'm loving all of these photos!

Most of my tulips are completely yellow, but this one, off on its own, has pretty red tinges.

This rude old bat that I know told me that people of my age shouldn't buy gold shoes. That , as you can imagine, was red rag to a bull. So I went to the shops today....

You should have got that old bat a matching pair - that would shut her up!

These cygnets are only a day old. I love the way the cheeky one cocks its head to look at me. Mum and dad were guarding them closely.

Oh, you ladies just slay me, .

This is the view of downtown Shreveport, Louisiana from the Bossier City side of the river. Red River is so brown and ugly that it looked like chocolate milk.

Our rhododendron bush is dropping its flowers. One makes an ideal hat for a garden statue

Amazing pics as always, everyone!
Here is the big picture
Of some tree roots on the hillside.
It's amazing how they cling to the wall. They are Banyans.

Banyan trees are so fascinating looking. I had never seen one before I went to Key West a few years ago.
