I loved your photography of "Bobby". Like Santana, i too hope to see this when i go to Edinburgh - will be travelling to Scotland in 4 weeks or so. This photo is "Tobey", affectionately known as "Tobester". He owns the gentleman friend i am visiting there. Tobey originally was a homeless waif from the streets in Ireland.

In fact the show i am off to see is 5 minutes walk from the statue of Bobby.

Gorgeous shot of the sunset, lilyalli.
mcshellsie, Tobester is a sweetheart and looks as if that photo interrupted some deep thinking on his part!

Love the daisies, mcshellsie! They are my favorite of all the flowers. TW, the contrast in your sky/roses photo is great!

This afternoon, we hit a bit of storm in southern New Mexico. Since I grew up in the area, I knew this happens but it's been at least 30 years since I've seen a dust/sand storm so severe. The road was totally obliterated from sight and the highway was closed for a few hours until it passed. These are VERY dangerous storms because travelers will stop their vehicles right in the road and are hit from behind by others still moving. I don't think anybody was hurt in today's storm but it was quite scary. The strange colored lighting is the mid-afternoon sun through the blowing sand. This was our view of the highway when just seconds before it looked like this. Just seconds before THAT, it was a beautiful blue sky. You can just make out the shoulder of the road, which is where we managed to pull onto and make our way off the next exit.

Excellent 'as it happened photo' - Clara Sue, that must have been terrifying.

Hope this works as my first attempt!

This is one of the houses at the Black Forest living museum in the small town of Gutach. Built in 1612 it is one of the oldest buildings in the area.

Thanks Gary - its difficult to imagine the sheer size of this building which housed the animals and families and all fodder for the winter months... awesome, but a bit spidery!

This is where I went yesterday to help out with Shopmobilty, we lent out our scooters to people with mobility problems. There was a rose show as well as open garden plus various stalls. The car I posted yesterday was heading for the static old car display.

This is Samares Manor.

Welcome Sherry nice shot. What a cutie Tobester is, I'm glad he was rescued.

These are our pansies in the backyard.

Loving all of these! ClaraSue, that must have been quite scary - great photo!

I had something of an "Awww!" moment this afternoon. I'd stretched out on the couch to watch the ball game, and naturally I dozed off. When I woke, I saw that Katt had snuggled in between my leg and the back of the couch (Awww!). The amazing thing is that I had the camera handy enough to snap a photo without disturbing him.

This a photo of the daily farmers market in Freiburg Münsterplatz on the edge of the Black Forest in the southwest corner of Germany. The flower stalls were just so tempting.

Great pictures, everyone!

Liz, awww indeed! That picture of Katt is just adorable, and he reminds me of Kiara (my kitty) when she sleeps. Very cute!
