Another sculpture in local nature reserve. " The Green is a great place for insects, from beetles to butterflies. Our ladybird speaks for them."

Still busy in decorating mode. I showed the basic bit of wood cut out for the TV corner unit earlier in the thread. Here's the finished item. Still lots to do to the rest of house yet.

I should have said earlier that I really loved the worm's eye view of the clover (liz) and the awesome clouds that ClaraSue took. I loved the boats from Ren, too. In fact, all of the pictures are great, especially in this new size!

More great photos everyone! Telly, that corner unit looks great, and thanks djsgal for confirming that it is indeed clover on my lawn (I thought it was...).

I thought this little family who were swimming up the river this afternoon might show up OK in the the new size.

A wild rose.

Snapped from this hedgerow (quaint old English word. I have some American friends who think that word is such a hoot!)

We've got some wild roses in our wild garden . They are a darker colour than that though (does that mean they're not wild?). I'll see about posting a photo of one.

This bush has finished flowering now. I missed photographing it before it was past it's best. It looked just as good last year though, so here's last year's photo of it (close-up of a flower bottom-right).

The photos are just great in the new size. We had one day of sunny weather yesterday and it's back to cloud and rain. Here's a photo from Whiteshell Provincial Park near Winnipeg.

Amazing what you see by the roadside on the way to the bus stop at 6 am!

A lotus that has survived all the deluges of rain we have had this week.

Fantastic photos, everyone!

This is an experiment for me - my first time scanning in an old photo and attempting to post it. We lived in Anchorage, Alaska from 1997-1999. Here is my daughter Erin (about 2 years old) at the end of the Spit in Homer, AK, which is the westernmost point you can drive to in North America.

The scan came out great, djsgal! What a beautiful flower bhs63, love the colour.

Last week I showed a building being demolished downtown. Here's a shot of the clean up at the same site, taken yesterday afternoon.
