I used to know my planes but it's been awhile since I took this photo. So if anyone can identify this be my guest. And yes I know it's Air Transat.

My Hubby says it a Lockheed L-1011 Tristar. Looks like there was still some snow on the ground for that photo!

Ahh yes that's it..thanks to your husband djsgal. Yes the photo was taken in the spring and the snow likes to hang around in Winnipeg.

Oh, I will be loving this thread. I grew up around planes, went to airshows whenever possible, have seen the Blue Angels many times and was probably the only girl to have a framed collage of Air Force Roundels hanging in my bedroom! My father and uncle were both pilots and owned a small plane together. I was lucky enough to live in Ohio where the Wright-Patterson base is along with the Technology Institute and the Air Force Museum. Santana, my 4 year old grandson would love that Playmobil Jet! I may just have to look for one. I am excited about seeing all your pics this week!

Great photo of the Blue Angels, bhs.

I posted this photo several months ago, but I cropped it a little and now we can see it in BIG format! This is the B-2 with an F-16 chase plane.

What a subject to restrict to one picture. I can walk to the end of Gatwick runway, stand amiong the landing lights and be looking down the whole length from a nearby public footpath in 20 minutes.

So here's a picture of a far older passenger airliner of 1930s vintage.

Awesome shot of the Blue Angels. I heard the UK team is the antithesis; called the Red Devils? And of course, the Canadian Snowbirds had to be different.
Nice photo op !

I felt like you djsgal, it was hard to
restrict this to one photo. I live on
the east coast of an Island and regular
transportation here is by seaplane ...
they constantly are coming from the mainland to the inner harbour and also
land on the dozen or lakes within the city itself. I hope this topic comes up again, for the many of you who love seeing the planes, i have a couple more i would love to share of these some day, these seaplanes. (How can you tell photography is my passion, lol).
I am enjoying all your photos immensely.

A Lancaster bomber escorted by a Hurricane fighter; two of the classic aircraft of World War II. Lancasters were used in the Dambusters attack, and also in the attack on SS HQ at Berchesgarten, Hitler's Bavarian retreat.

This is a buccaneer, that adorns the forecourt of the filling station, just as you leave Elgin going north.

Beautiful photos everyone! Loving this theme

This little beauty is on permanent display at Canada's National Air Force Museum at Trenton, Ontario, just down the road from me.
