This is the waiting room of my Dentists is genuine old wooden beams. Is a nice property they have and they have kept the interior of the original building of the old beams.

A fine specimen of Buddleia in full bloom, also called butterfly bush.

Here's a particularly nice and well preserved art deco house I came across in Harrow today.

Seeing the kitten (very much like our first one) has made me think about another cat again. You can't live without them for long when you've been used to it.

I agree David, so what is stopping you? I know Lucy was much loved.
This one was a complete and utter poser! I was walking along in one of the village streets in Laycock, when I spotted him (MUST be a HE!) sleeping in the sun. He heard my camera click and immediately sprang up, jumped on to a tree stump and Posed. There was no mistaking it, he almost smoothed his eyebrows and asked if I thought this was his 'best side'. Lovely!Just look at the paws.

nifti, What a great shot of the dogs and their tug-o-war! Shelley, that's a gorgeous kitten, the buddleia is beautiful, and your hilarious description of *Sir Poser* should be told to him, ren! (the almost smoothed his eyebrows cracked me up)

David, A good friend of mine lives in a house very similar to that one, but his has very dark red trim/gutterwork as opposed to the blue. The curved sides and large arch over the window are almost identical. If I remember, I'll take a photo of it the next time I'm there. I agree, get yourself another cat.

Great photos this month.

While driving around the Province, towns like to build what I call roadside attractions. Some are humorous and some not. This one made me smile.

This one is at the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border in the town of Russell. He didn't have a name so feel free to give him one. I thought Ferdinand was a good one.

More grand photos, everyone! I especially smiled at the doggy tug-of-war game, the kitten and Ren's poser Also at yours, argus, and I agree that Ferdinand seems a good name.

Here's another rather imposing house that was on my walking route the other day.

I'd like to jump on the cat bandwagon! We have 2, and I adore them. I posted Flora in the Reflections thread, so here is her brother, Fritz (the shelter named them - the whole litter was "F" names!). Flora loves camera, but Fritz would generally prefer that I put it down and pick him up, so he gets as close as he can...

That is a beautiful orchid, bhs. As always, I love looking at the photos every day, even though I'm not posting as much as I should!!

It's the end of July so this thread is now locked. A new thread has been started for August's photos. Thanks to everyone for some super photos in the past month .
