Hooray! I don't have many of these as reserved for mainly special meetings now, but by pure chance I appear to have seen this first as well.
This is the room I have the computer, and I am with Nick Pope, the UK UFO investigator who was originally the Ministry of Defence's UFO desk occupant and now researches full time, and I am one of his helpers since 2001. There is a small fraction of my car collection behind us as well.

This is from five years ago, when me, Mum and Dad visited Stratford Upon Avon, during a very hot summer. This is the house of a "rather famous" W. Shakespeare.

(I was also five stone heavier )
This is a great idea for photos!

Jane, lovely photo! I was there as well in October 2007...gosh it was so amazing to be able to walk inside Shakespeare's house.

Stratford-upon-Avon is a lovely place. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around there and sitting by the river...such a lovely place! Your photo brings back many recent memories for me. Thanks for posting it.

Edited to insert a left out word.

Okay, now don't everyone run and hide all at once. Let's see how long this photo can stay under-wraps.

None of me (yet ), but here are my husband, and my kids and step-kids at Fort Point, a Civil War era fort at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Welcome, leaine, nice photo.

ClaraSue, Your mom is a beautiful woman.

djs, What a good looking family you have there!

Auntie Jane, William just keeps getting cuter, doesn't he?

SOTHC, You are a very handsome couple and your wife's smile is only fitting considering the grief she must take from you! I say that with love and now I know the face behind one of our quickest wits on here in the Chains. From now on I will picture that oh so devilish grin of yours as I read your words!

My granddaughter and our cat. The first time they met, they were both very wary of each other. Even now, Zorro still hides when Breanna comes to visit.

From my nephew's wedding, which we attended last Saturday. The three children are my grandchildren, and the slim blonde girl on the bride's right is my niece.
The bride is now of course, also a family member.

It's so nice to see the faces behind the names. Such happy friends, families, couples, faces . Reminds me that the best things we have in life ... are always each other.

Lovely photos everyone.
Last month saw the 80th birthday of my mum's dear cousin Eric. I went to the party and took him a silk coat and hat from here. He was thrilled and wore them all the time!He is a game lad. Lost his wife after a long fight with cancer last year, then took up with a lady he met at the hospital. She bosses him about, he loves it, she arranged the party and also an exhibition of his paintings. She also made him change doctors to one who gave him less of the medicine that was getting him down and making him miserable. Result: A happy, confident much younger Eric! He is a fascinating chap. Here we are at the party.

Yes, very nice photos ...but could we please be careful of image sizes. 640 pixels should the maximum dimension height or width.

Edit: Only just realised! (well, I've been doing lots around the house today ). Please only post one photo a day (see '6' here). It's new forum so I'll leave well alone but it is something else to remember.

#1004064 - Fri Jul 25 2008 10:29 PM

#1004070 - Sat Jul 26 2008 12:06 AM

you can remove them if you like.,

Put it down to the time difference, in the UK which is where Martin lives (and me) the times of the two photos are:

Sat Jul 26 2008 06:29 AM
Sat Jul 26 2008 08:06 AM

I suppose that posting them just a few hours apart can cause en erroneous day to be shown depending on where you are in the world.

Why would I since you've shown they're OK? I always try to do the right thing for our forums but am not beyond the odd mistake. Apologies.

Regarding Photobucket, I have been caught out myself when resizing images there, so prefer to resize them before uploading. Even if you do use Photobucket for resizing though, the resultant image is viewable. A quick way of finding out the pixel size is to right-click on the full-size image and choose 'Properties' in the menu. The dimensions are given there.
