A good photo of a raven doing what ravens do best; clear up dead critters before they get infested with maggots!
Here's another 'wildlife' photo; one of our local fungi - a shaggy ink cap I believe, also called a lawyer's wig.

I've always liked straight roads, which is not much use in the UK which stopped making them when the Romans left. So whenever I see a good one I take a picture of it. This is The Avenue in Sunbury and lined with very nice detached houses.

This cottage lies on the estate of Brodick Castle on the Isle of Arran. What really captured my eye was the size of the rhododendrons, they must be positively ancient to have reached that size. The hills were covered with them as well, so heartbreakingly beautiful.

This building was used as a makeshift hospital during the battle of Culloden apparently it has had 3 new roofs since that happened.

LOL at the lawyers cap.

And lovely cottage photos too.

Nothing exciting from me, just a windmill.

This is the Elbow Reef Lightstation located on Elbow Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. It is one of the last kerosene fueled, hand cranked lighthouses left in the world. I am lucky enough to live on Elbow Cay and get to see this scene practically every day.

The cart I bought for ClaraSue right before we went on vacation this summer. I had to put the top on when giving both dogs, Alex and CS, a ride yesterday because I don't trust Alex yet not to jump out while we're moving. Even if you can't see them very well, they're in there.

Second that. Just love the idea of taking your doggies for a ride.
Welcome ladyhenry but where is the photo?

Another find from the beach, this time the shell of a crab. I wonder where the inside went as the shell is almost perfect.

Edit: Photo size reduced Link to original image.

Stunning photo. The crows look like the black shadows they often are.

I don't think there was a bridge there when Hampton Court was built, and not for a few hundred years later until this arrived linking it with Molesey.

What a cute prairie dog!

On our way home from Los Angeles today, we passed a wildfire in the Santa Monica mountains. Both airplanes and helicopters were dumping water on it, but the winds were really hampering their efforts.

We have the Los Angeles stations on our satellite and I was watching that fire on the news tonight while we're here in S.C. That's a pretty bad fire!

So a prairie dog and a gopher are the same thing, yes?

Here's the moon rising tonight.

Copago, that photo is awesome, because of its starkness- what are the plants in the picture?
