SOTHC, You really should warn someone better before you post things like this. I just about spewed my beverage all over my computer screen.

This larger-than-life eagle sits atop a saguaro cactus at the Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa, Arizona.

This Photo gives a better idea of how large it is. That's the roof of the casino to the left.

Just a reminder that Photo-a-Day is for displaying or linking to photos taken by ourselves.

Our little village temple is all spruced up for CNY. I am not sure about the new roof tiles though(see old ones next door.)

Great photos all, especially the sunset.

The Hindu the goat story continues .. went down the back there yesterday and there she is sitting up with her kid and now she's got her boyfriend there! He's a bit jumpy when we walk around or vehicles/motorbikes are going but he just stays by her side. The big fella and the kid look confused when Hindu walks up to us for a pat or a tin of dog pellets. IT's all very weird.

Terrific close up of Tigger, surely he must be a professional model

The first thing I thought when I saw this view was Trumpton. It's actually in Northolt but anyone who knows it can see the resemblance.

This is the Queen of the house, Emmie. When we were moving, we went through quite a lot of pizza (especially once the pots and dishes were packed). Emmie was trying to help (or at least that's what SHE thinks) by keeping the pizza warm for us.

The pottery in the upper right corner is a piece that hubby's mom made. She's really good!

I saw this large house in Mill Hill, Satguru's territory. I love the general character, especially the round tower and the covered walkway, but such a house is a bit beyond my means

Too funny, SilverMoonsong! Cats love pizza boxes -- we had two pizzas last night, and there was a cat on each box

Oh my, thank you, thank you, each and every one of you! Being my (lately) *behind on everything* self, I have just done a week's catching up on the photos. What a wonderful trip all over the world. I can't begin to comment on all I would like to, but more than a few 'wows' have been uttered, trust me, and quite a few guffaws too.

Sara, is it my imagination or was it just a few months ago you were posting all the wonderful CNY pics? I realize it has actually been a year, but that drove home how fast it has flown by!

That's a very inspirational pic, Copago.

This is the Strelitzia bush in front of my house -- in full bloom now.

Oh not at all, Sherry. Finding beauty in the ordinary is the genius of photography. So many people fail to look at what is right in front of them. That's why we all love looking at the pictures in these threads. It's like getting a little glimpse into other lives different, yet so much the same, as your own.
