The weather was a bit warmer today, and the squirrels were in a playful mood.

There was an article, in one of our national newspapers last week, about 'black super squirrels', which have invaded the UK. They're faster, and more aggressive than our resident grey squirrels, and have driven them out of large areas of Britain. They've been genetically identified as directly descended from north American black squirrels.
The 'resident' grey squirrels are themselves 'invaders' who have driven out the indigenous red squirrel from most of Britain, so it seems these are now getting their own come-uppance

Some shiny berries on the winter flowering box... the tiny white flowers smell beautiful and filled the air with their scent - smelled before seen!

I'm trying to work out where the house is in Mill Hill but not familiar at all. I have theories but probably around Highwood Hill.

This is where most of London gets their TV and some of their radio broadcast from, Crystal Palace tower, one of two.

Went away for a week and had six pages of pictures to catch up on. Will post some photos from my trip tomorrow.

Main memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire... pretty awesome. On the right hand side where the single figure is pointing, there is a gap in the wall where a shaft of sunlight strikes the central memorial at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month (sunshine permitting)...

This is another straight road in my collection, St Helier Avenue in Morden. You can get the full effect standing on the central reservation but not always a good idea.

Continuing the straight road mini-theme, here's one that is really just a track through the bush. My sister decided not to risk using it when we were exploring a new route to visit our Mum this afternoon.

This is Bella. Took this when I was out in San Francisco in '07. I actually got to do the "Meet the Dolphin" thingy, which was very awesome. I got to feed her and do a few tricks with her.

Departing from the road theme, here's a picture I took of an interesting cloudscape.

I really don't like Sushi at all, but this display looks rather good on the buffet.

I think I've started a trend here! Here is some nature, a tree on Hampstead Heath that has been hacked about by the surgeons to look like sculpture.

Great photos everyone!

Sat, that tree reminds me of the one in the first (or second??) Harry Potter movie that just smacks them around!

Now to me that's the most 'scruptious' food image ever to appear in this forum. I love sushi, and haven't got any sort of sweet tooth, so images of gooey cakes, sweets, etc, do nothing for me!
This is the London - Cambridge main line, where it passes through nearby Waltham Cross.

Such a variety of photos. They are all so good, too. It is a lot of fun to come here each day and see what fascinating pictures have been posted from around the world.

Last summer I saw this boat out in the country in someone's yard. It looked out of place there--what with being 1500+ miles from an ocean. It looks even more out of place, and in worse shape than I remembered, now.

Aw! Bison rule!

I'm lucky enough to work out in the desert, and this hill is next to a trail I like to walk during breaks.

Great photos!
I love it that lots of us see a straight bit of road and think of the same person

Sherry's war memorial one that has the sun strike on it on Armistice day reminds me of memorials that we have here that do that - except when they brought daylight saving in and so it's an hour off.

Rather handsome fellow that was underneath the outdoor furniture a couple days ago.
