Wonderful starfish Shellie - not so sure I would want the lizard in my garden, but he really is awesome. Oh to be in the warmth of SA and on a dive...

Lady1, I love the lighting in the storm brewing picture.

ren seems determined to make us all hungry!

I believe those are Koi in Silvermoonsong's pic. The one on the right looks like it's put on party clothes.

just noticed how the inside of each blossom here, looks like it has a bumble bee inside ... maybe that is nature's way of attracting bees to it?

We visited nearby St. Albans Cathedral yesterday, supposedly built on the site of Alban's martyrdom.
This is the shrine of St. Alban, inside the cathedral.

A thoughtful Dr Samuel Johnson in his birthplace of Lichfield.

Can remember walking on an Easter pilgrimage to St Alban's Abbey when I was a teenager - it took ages from Hatfield - in the rain, I might add.

Saw these two little fellas on a recent drive. At first they were nipping each other and kicking up their heels but by the time I got turned around and off the roadside for a shot, they were side by side, easy as you please. There is something about burros I find so sweet.

Yes, I remember the Harry Potter tree, it does look almost human! Good to see some more railway shots, and it's funny how while the UK road makers didn't have the power to make straight roads for very far the railways did.

Here is a little road in Hampstead Village just up the road from two of my old schools.

This was taken through the open car window at Woburn. You can hand feed the deer.
