I did almost put 'faucets' in brackets. It was in your 'Thinking wet' suggestion mc_shellsie, so I took it to mean those objects that are commonly found on sinks, basins, bathtubs, etc for turning the water on and off ...whatever they are called.

Here's one to start us off. It's the tap on the outside of my house, with garden hose attached.

Here's the tap over the sink in the island. Just cold water there and in the background you can see the other sink taps - hot/cold one on the right and the rain water tap on the left. If I had my time again I would put the rain water one over the island as well, but no harm it's certainly better than what we had.

I'd have named the theme 'Taps, Valves, and Faucets', but it seems to be understood now
I've named this image 'Flying Faucet'
It's an untouched photo, by the way. Seen at a steam rally, the tap/faucet has been blocked off at the back, and cleverly supported by a clear tube, up which liquid is pumped, then flows down the outside.

Here is the tap outside the local church: would have caught the drip had not a job's worth come along to ask what I was doing! Didn't seem to believe I would be photographing a tap...
