I was in Hendon yesterday and saw the two churches on the horizon in Hampstead Garden Suburb and Hampstead Heath. This is the wide view so you can see where it was taken as well.

Well out of the desert and onto the Strip in Las Vegas. This was our hotel, The Luxor.

Love the pelican - he really isn't amused, is he?

Snapped this helicopter from the passenger seat of my sister's car as we returned from a shopping expedition this afternoon.

Another one of a pelican. I love the way they just skim across the top of the water. This one was a little higher than some of the others I've watched.

More wildflowers... It's rather warm here now so the wildflowers in the desert are dying off, but I still have some in my yard. This is red flax.

This photo is of the ceiling in the lobby of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. These are hand blown glass flowers by artist Dale Chihuly. Absolutely beautiful.

Oh, yes! I've seen those and they are beautiful. I think I stood there with mouth hanging open.

The Chihuly glass is magnificent. I'm a big Chihuly fan.

Beautiful Argus! I once watched a program on a Seattle station of him and his work ... it is truly amazing what he does with glass. What a thrill to see your photo ...

Love your pelican ClaraSue, had no idea they were so colourful, quite the wingspan. Love your squirrel, spliz.
Your wisteria, bhs, almost looks like icicles in the middle of summer ...
Such enjoyable photos, all.

More B&W play ... this is a "red" carnation ... i like the tones that come out when shooting in this mode for the colour red

I've been scanning in lots of old photos, this was a typical scene after the great storm on 16-10-1987.

My wife and I arrived home from Warsaw yesterday. This is the huge illuminated sign of the Hard Rock cafe, not far from our hotel.

Although all the hotels have lovely landscaping outside, the Bellagio has a Conservatory inside just past their lobby.

The flowers on display are all in pots. The tulips were just starting to go past their prime. I'm assuming that they will be replaced by more summertime flowers as Spring passes on.

While walking along at a State Park in South Carolina today, a family with two little children playing with their bubbles were in front of us. I tried to get off a shot of the bubbles and this is the only one that came out halfway decent.

Halfway decent? I'd say that's an excellent shot ClaraSue.

Love it Clara Sue! I expect the Good Witch of the North is floating in.

Terrific flower pictures, all. So great to see color returning.

Seagulls are such photogenic birds.

Looks like Argus is having a good time in Vegas. Love going on virtual trips with the FunTrivia photogs!

Inside the conservatory at the Bellagio the have butterfly on display. They are in small sheds made up to look like potting sheds.

They certainly keep the glass clean, it looks like I'm right inside with the butterflies but this photo was taken through the glass.
