Here's a pet peeve -- a sign like this posted over a solitary tap that spews only very cold water:

Hi all! Hope this is a good weekend!

Here's a common sight on the West Side of Manhattan - a carriage horse and driver heading from Central Park to their stables on the West Side.

Mine too, bhs63 -- were you stationed there?

Can you spot the leafy sea dragon in this picture from the Monterey Bay Aquarium?

Our local museum Lowewood dates from the late 18th century, and has a Victorian postbox in front.
The postbox is in everyday use, and has no connection with the museum.

Last week, when Ozzz2002 was visiting me, we did a tasting tour of the Swan Valley which included two wineries and one brewery, as well as cheese, icecream, chocolate, and nougat factories. This photo was taken at Sandalford Winery.

It's clearly the season, I just loaded a photo I took today of pansies and that was the first one I saw here. These are in Epsom in Surrey.

Wow - animals that look like plants!

Here's a couple of really big apartment buildings near Lincoln Center on the West Side of Manhattan.

If you want to live in the sky.... The shorter buildings in the front are more typical of this part of Hell's Kitchen.

This house, in a nearby village, has very unusual windows.

She really was a sweetie and very affectionate for a street cat.... at least she didnt try to sell me a rug or a camel

Wish I could have brought some of them (street cats) home, but on the whole they were in good health...

I think those windows are Victorian gothic Picqero, but don't often see that variety in a single building.

This is a typical view in the life of satguru, the main road in South Harrow. There's a very good indoor market by the bridge but a lot of the better stalls and shops are long gone.
