Ok, now I'm sure this must be on the site somewhere, but I've searched high and low, and can't find this anywhere.

Can someone explain the order of the rankings? Is Tough harder or easier than Difficult. I mean, Easy & Average are fairly self-explanatory, but the others could go a few ways...

Slap me with a damp fish if I've managed to miss this somewhere obvious...

I believe it goes:

Simple
Very Easy
Easy
Average
Tough
Difficult
Very Difficult
Impossible

You wouldn't believe it - I honestly spent an hour searching for a Help/FAQ etc, and after you post that, I go back to the front page, and the first thing I see is FAQ

*facepalm*

*fishface*

Thanks, both of you

So, where does "very hard" fit in?

I think it's the way Terry has the code written. In some places, it says, "Very Difficult," but in others, "Very Hard."

As for "Simple," when Terry rewrote the algorithm, those type quizzes are few and very far between. When I started here in 2001, a 5/10 score was considered an "Average" quiz, but now it's either "Tough" or "Difficult," depending on the percentage.

ARGH... seems too confusing for me, and sends my brain into overload (not that that's hard to do). I just look at the list and go "oh, okay. So my quiz is almost impossible! Sweet awesomeness!" and let it be...

Are there any simple quizzes here? I know that nowadays they probably aren't accepted, but back when quizzes first went on-line, I wouldn't be surprised if there were.

Probably. Look in the children's section. I can only find "very easy", but perhaps since "very easy" is the lowest you can get now, the "simple" is outdated? Like, it doesn't exist anymore?

From what I remember, there are only certain lists where the "simple" rating appears.
