zorba, if I didn't know otherwise I'd think your shot could be the A40 at Northolt. It certainly didn't look like what I thought India looked like.

Satguru, I'm actually in Toronto right now on holiday. That's the view from my window but I'm not sure of the exact location.

That makes a lot of sense now. I haven't been to India as I said but that looks far more like here than there and Canada does as well from what I've seen of Argus99 and Spanishliz's views, although I have also been there myself for an afternoon (the standard tour of Niagara Falls) from the US side. I'm glad I can spot places with no actual written clues!
I'll add a photo of the A40 at Northolt tomorrow although you can't see the buildings along the side in my view from the bridge.

Great photos, everybody! I'm sorry I haven't even been in to see and had quite a few to catch up with. I just love everybody's contributions. I have especially enjoyed the flowers and sunsets and sunrises! Lovely!

Here's tonights full moon rise over the desert.

Beautiful moon, CS!

Here's a mob of feral goats at a ground tank.

As promised here's the A40 at Northolt, you can't stop on the side to get your view and the railings are in the way as I couldn't get out of the car either when it was stopped at the lights here. But the little hills on the right are a local feature (no idea why) for people to climb on and they would have exactly the right view if I ever get round to going there.

Copago, everytime you post pix of feral goats it amazes me. The most feral thing we ever see is cats.

Ren- someone needs to feed that baby more shrimp so it'll pink up faster!

Beautiful night shot Picqero.

Here is something for everyone's Mother's Day Bouquet. Here's wishing everyone a great day.

Hi! I'm Mommakat and I'm new, but have been enjoying this forum since joining a month or so ago.

This is my cat Samantha whom we rescued after being hit by a car in front of our home. The owner was informed where she was but did not come to claim her so we gave her a home. She is pure-bred Bengalese.

ClareSue, I enjoyed your picture of the full moon rise over the desert. It brought back memories of my trip to USA several years ago.

What a pretty little cat, Mommakat! I can't imagine anyone not wanting her, but she's a lucky kitty to find someone who does! I have 3 myself.

And Welcome!

Welcome Mommkat. Wonderful thing rescuing Samantha. And a beauty, too. Bengalese cats are so gorgeous. Well, definately someone else's loss was your gain. Look forward to many more Samantha portraits!

Thanks, everyone! And welcome, Mommakat, Samantha is gorgeous!

What's springtime without a kite or two? Although a little blurry, you can see this kite is in the shape of a ship.

No merit in the photography here but I had just told the orangutan that if he didn't behave and smile for the camera next time I would bring Sara with me!

Lol, Sue! Looks like a fine reflection of a handsome specimen. Talking of Sara - apologies are in order. I remember saying months ago that I would take a pic of Sandringham House for you. I've made it to the gates. Maybe in another year I'll make it to the other side

Welcome Mommakat, I think Samantha was very lucky to find you, like my Lucy was ten years ago.

I said there should be more places like Hampstead Garden Suburb, found one and today went to Guildford and found another. As they were very basic cottages they should have more locations but the profits on large plots are a lot lower than squashing them all together so pretty rare to find.

You can also see why I prefer the old signs as these are very good examples of the new (post 1964) ones. The others are still around though as there were so many the councils realised it was a total waste of money just changing them because the government preferred the new ones. These ruin the whole view.

Oops! So sorry Sue not to give due credit. Now it seems we'll need enough shrimp to pink up baby flamingo and Ren! (-8

I have been enjoying all the photos, as usual. Its nice seeing the flowers from all over. When you live at 43.50 N and 96.70 W you have to wait until about now to see any color.

This is a flowering crabapple tree in our backyard. The best time to have a flowering crab is now. The worst time is in the fall when all the apples fall off and pile up in the yard.

Welcome Mommakat, I'll look forward to seeing lots of photos of the lovely Samantha

For anyone who has read "Deafening" by Frances Itani, this is the Post Office in Deseronto that plays quite a large part in the book. It's quite an interesting building in any case.

Hi! I'm really enjoying the pictures - so many pretty flowers and woods and kitties .

Here's another from New York. This is the statue of Columbus in Columbus Circle with the Time Warner Center towers behind. CNN's New York bureau is in these buildings, so when you see the news on CNN from New York - this is where it's filmed.

To Copago, Ysmay, Tredici, Clarasue and Spanishliz, thank you for your kind words. I am new at this so am still feeling my way along, but as I get cheekier I will certainly post more pics of my rescued animals....Mommakat
