This week's theme is IN THE PAST.

Hve a look around and show us something in your life that comes from a by-gone era.

Good choice. I just missed the 'holiday snaps' - I have taken 993 in the last 3 weeks. I'm sure I must have a pic (or several) which fit the theme. Got some serious culling to do first.....

I found several, but thought this was interesting as it looks so ancient. It was, in fact, still being used in 1985! I guess it's just me that's ancient then....

Something from the past and still usable, I thought of the wife, but no people photo's allowed, so here is an old iron it's still used but only as a door stop.

I thought about posting a photo of Sara but then realised we can't post photos of people - ah, not original, sorry runningbare.

This is an old potty from WWII era and a crystal set which was hidden inside it, it was a very serious offence to be found with a radio during the German occupation of the Channel Islands.

Remember donut phones?

I received this phone for my 12th birthday (an odd gift since I rarely talked on the phone). But I thought it was so cool that I've kept it all these years. I don't use it, but it still works (even though it has seen better days...)

Though this isn't the actual place, and probably dates only from the late fifties, seeing a functioning Drive-In is a real "blast from the past" for me. My very first job was as a popcorn girl at the one in my hometown.

A Cameo that was my gran's. It needs a bit of attention I suppose. It must be well over 100.

I meant to take a photo this week but just ran out of time.

Great pics, everyone. Next topic is "water".
