The colourful tomb of poet John Gower in Southwark Cathedral.
He was a contemporary of Geoffrey Chaucer, and died in 1408.

The River Severn between Shrewsbury and Ironbridge - very tranquil in the sunshine this morning... you can just see the Wrekin hill in the background.

Just to show my ignorance, I've never seen an artichoke fully bloomed(?). They're quite pretty. I usually eat them before that happens.

Another day of getting near sunset on The Chesapeake Bay.

The last remaining aubergine plant on my exposed balcony -the others have all died . Hopefully, and that is a very BIG hope, and very wishful thinking, I will be posting a photo of some absolutely HUGE aubergines.

Tabby Sea Wall
Beaufort, SC

Tabby (a mixture of oyster shells and some lime concoction) was used in a lot of buildings around here. I've also seen tabby in some remote Mayan ruins on Ambregris Cay and other places in Belize. Apparently, the formula has been lost. Modern day tabby builders seem unable to duplicate the original.

Another round of good shots. Sherry, that's beautiful.

A sunrise to accompany the sunsets. At 4.45 the sun appears over the top of a neighbouring mountain. By 5.00am it is light.

Taken a couple of years ago when I lived on the mountain. Every sunrise was different. Now I'm in the valley, I can't see the sunrise.

This is the back of the cottages in Hampstead Garden Suburb where I'd like to live if I had the money. If anyone's curious a 3 bedroom semi there is close to £700,000. So I take pictures of them instead.

Lovely old barn, Sherry. Good to see the honkers, sliz. Lovely sandpipers, like the reflection caught there, bhs. Over a million bucks for a semi, sat? *thud*
