Awww.. how totally sweet!

We camped at Shenandoah National Park in eastern Virginia a couple of weeks ago. The white-tailed deer there were so unafraid of humans - this buck walked right past our campsite and stopped for a good look before moving on.

Oh Tredici that lion looks sad.

djsgal, I camped at that same park and had deer come really really close. We had only the picnic table between the kids and me and four of them. It was then I started wondering exactly how benign wild deer were... (maternal instinct kicking in I guess...)

I think this must be a new name for a tiny alley in Finchley, it appealed to me anyway.

This squirrel was so tired that he flaked out on my neighbour's fence, and couldn't be bothered moving whilst I took his photo.

Thanks Liz. It's funny how photos get posted in little bunches, it's already tomorrow evening compared to the last entry but only one picture in between.
Rather than add anything scenic this is a typical view of my life, a bus passing under the bridge in Cricklewood, my mother and her brother were born just off the road on the right just behind me as well. Sometimes the fruit never strays far from the tree.

We set up a three hole golf course today. It's crude but fun

Love your golf course Copago. When you finally have 18 holes maybe you can host a world competition there.

This little guy is actually about the size of the end of your thumb. If you didn't see them move, you probably wouldn't see them at all.

I really like this selection of roofs, particularly the slightly sagging roof of the crêperie in Quimper from which delicious smells were wafting!

The frog/toad is a cute little guy! Interesting flowers, they remind me of mushroom caps in little bunches. Great golf course, and Santana what a wonderful building, sagging roof and all

I'm hoping that the appearance of this fence, as well as the big "Coming Soon..." sign, mean that we really, really, really are going to soon have a Tim's at my local-less-than-five-minutes-walk-from-home plaza. It's three years since I first heard one was coming, and a year since the only other place to get a coffee at the plaza closed...

A good watchdog never sleeps - he always has one ear at attention.

Here's another from our visit to Quimper yesterday. This railing in the courtyard of the cathedral of St Corentin caught my eye:

Quimper is a beautiful town - we visited on market day and there were so many lace goods being sold, with many of the stall holders wearing traditional costume.

Here is a very large sunflower in an allotment. There were runner beans, raspberry shrubs and wild flowers too.

So many interesting photos as always!

Here is an alligator up close and personal - taken at the Baltimore Aquarium.

He looks nice and friendly ... not that I'd be keen on getting up close and personal with him!

Here's a pic of a ceramics shop in Quimper - a selection the plates they produce have been fixed in place permanently on the outisde walls of the building.
