Hi all, I come in here all the time and admire your beautiful photos from all over the world, so I have finally decided to give this thread a go, I hope I am doing this right.

Malaga fair started on Thursday, so I guess they put these typical flamenco dresses out to air before their use.

Welcome szabs. Looks like your photos will be terrific additions to the theads.

Was up DeputyGarys way this past week in North Dakota. Taken in the Badlands preserved by Teddy Roosevelt.

This is a picture of the Tuck Box, a tea room in Carmel, California (near Monterey).

Been in Scotland a week now.
View from 5th floor of hotel in Ayr,
Ayrshire - August 7th. Sunrise over the Firth of Clyde - the large building is the courthouse.

Cute Carmel shops. Glad not to be a fly with that frog zeroed in! Gorgeous lighting McShellsie.

Spotted this handsome fellow on last evening's drive. He didn't seem much concerned with mere me.

Szabs - must be time to dance Sevillana! I learned how, but never bought just the right dress. Still have the music, but couldn't remember if I tried.

And PDAZ, I've eaten at the Tuck room a few years ago and it was delicious. Yum!

I love the light in yours, McShellsie!

Here's a wee cluster of day lilies in my garden. They're lasting well this year.

Lovely flowers!

Here's another cute building in Carmel. I think it was a men's clothing store, but I won't swear to it.

Thanks all for your warm welcome.

Jar - After all these years here, I still haven't mastered the Sevillanas or bought a dress.

Here is another typical mode of transportation during the days of the fair - when cars are replaced by horses.

This isn't a very clear photo, but thought I'd post anyway, as I find it amusing to sit and watch 'walking the plank' at low tide. That's not very fair of me, as it is really tricky with a couple of toddlers, pushchair, shopping etc - I know, as I used to live on the other side of the river. I have only ever seen two people fall off!

Les Miz was my first show in London too! Actually, the only show I've seen in London...

Here's a shopping plaza in Carmel

Life's been getting in the way of my visits to this thread, time to catch up! A belated, but warm welcome szabs, love your photos of the fair, those dresses airing on the balcony are awesome! Love PDAZ's pics of the cottages, in fact all the photos are pleasurable to browse. Will start posting here again when I've finished painting.

Several years ago PurpleFan sent me a packet of Morning Glory seeds which I sowed and then enjoyed the flowers. This year I spotted some self-seeded plants growing up my trellis and this is the first to flower.

Belated welcome to Szabs form me too! Love that dress photo!!

Walking the plank made me smile too.

Been busy here lately so haven't been able to post much but remember a little while ago we were starting to dig a tank well here it is finished (with a small boy on a motorbike in the middle to give a bit of an idea of size) It's fifteen foot deep.
